Hey @Gautami Shetty These elements can't be hidden from anonymous user UI. If you'd like something more streamlined, you can check out apps like Instant Websites and my team's app Scroll Viewport. Both will publish your spaces as a website, instead of an anonymously accessible space, which do not offer all these options.…

Hi @Gabriele Ientile Including the content like this isn't going to work with the Excerpt and Excerpt include macro. This is because there is no way to identify the different excerpts on a page. As an alternative, you can put each phrase you want to use on an individual page and.use the page include macro. This is the way…

And @Mike Zaharof I'm curious; where on YouTube you are learning about this? We're making video content and we're always curious what's most helpful for people. 😃
-
Hey @Mike Zaharof Sorry to hear that you're flying blind right now. Although, there's always something new to learn about Confluence. I can tell you that there are a lot of people doing what you'd like to do with Confluence. Versioning, Publishing, even Conditional content are all possible in Confluence. At some level,…

💡 Hey, I just featured the the page header in our recent video on how to make affective/beautiful Confluence pages: https://youtu.be/9H6PNsnMEvM

@Alana Moss Are you creating a template or just a page? This will only work when creating a template.
-
Hi @Sandra Lawrence Maybe you could use 6 expand macros on your main page, and put the Include+macros inside of them. Then your readers would see a lot of 6 links and click just 1 to expand the full list of files from that page.

@Carlos Moran - Global Tech Lead NAM It looks like the max width on the element in the page is 760px. It can be any high, because you have the option to select what part of the image you want visible. It looks like it displays a max hight of 140px. So I'd say a minimum of 760 X 140px.

Hey @Mane Zakaryan I can't think of a way to make this work, although, you're not the only one to want to do this. Confluence is built with a solid permissions scheme, which page inclusion respects. So if User_B doesn't have access to Document_A, it won't show up using an include macro. This is because Confluence does a…
-
Hi @Mane Zakaryan Some I can think of are: Excerpt, Excerpt Include, and Page Include. These are used for content reuse. Here's a video on that: https://youtu.be/qGjyHshdSTE For internal documentation, the Page Properties and Page Properties Report macros are excellent for creating overview pages with details from many…

Oh yes, API access to both would be very handy!

Hey @Halimat Lawal My team made a guide on how to use Confluence for product documentation which covers a lot of useful information that could help: https://www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/documentation-guide We've also got a YouTube channel with a few "How to use Confluence" videos that might be…
-
@amahoney Not that I know of. I think you have to create a new global template and copy and paste the contents of the space templates into it.
-
Hi @Jesica Avendaño You could also try my team's app Scroll Viewport. The app not only lets you set a custom URL, but also theme your content as a branded help center. It's what we use for help.k15t.com. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211636/scroll-viewport-for-confluence

@[deleted] Because you can't really do this, you could add a table near the top of the page template where you ask for alternate terms. Because this is just text on the page, Confluence Search will then index the words. It won't index labels in the same way, as they're used for filtering search results.
-
Hi @Charlie Dobbie The Inclusion library approach using the Include Page macro might work better for this use case than the Excerpt Include macro. You would be able to modify the element in just one place and have the changes reflected across all pages reusing that content. This approach doesn't really simply content…

Hi @evan.anandappa_SP Wow, there is so much you can do here. Here are a few resources that might help: * https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVvtVyEIKNWjzk8MSwEiT2NV77Oe8INTf (check out the page naming and labels videos) * https://youtu.be/DrGCWTxeA94

@Lauren Timzen Nic is on it. The Include Page macro is really great for this kind of thing. You might also consider building a "library" of all the content you reuse, so you can easily find and update things. We go into how to do this in our guide here: https://www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/documentation-guide/content-reuse
-
Hi @Mane Zakaryan You could try the Inclusion Library technique, which Atlassian, and my team, utilize for reusing content within Confluence. Doing it this way, you would create pages within another part of Confluence, each containing the text for your "Line 1", "Line 2", etc. Then, you can use the Include Page macro to…

Hey @Craig Senior May team has also put together a collection of best practices for creating documentation in Confluence. It's called Rock the Docs. I hope you find this helpful. For documenting different components, some document all of them in one space, some in individual ones. Sort of similar to how we've broken up the…

Hey @Svenja Stöhr I'd recommend using the Live Search macro on the home page of your space. In the macro, you can set it so it will only search in the given space, and only attachments. You can also add labels to attachments and filter for them in the Live Search macro. This will give you even more specific search results.…
-
Hi @Michael Thomas I don't there's a way to automatically add the logical operators to the search entry, but that would be cool! You could at least add some good Placeholder text in the LiveSearch macro to give some guidance. Another resource for teammates might be a recent video my team made about using search in…

I'm really excited to be part of this series! Check out the very first episode to hear about the collaborative switch, what "Open by default" really means, and how templates can help your team get going quickly.

I'm glad to hear they're a valuable resource for your team @Susanne Ertle Feel free to request any topics you'd like us to cover. We're always happy to share what we've learned/are learning.
-
Of course, forget that Viewtracker is also on Cloud. Great team behind this app!
-
Hi @Susanne Ertle I believe if you upgrade to Confluence Cloud Premium, even temporarily, you can use the analytics feature to check out this type of information. Also, my team recently made some videos with tips on page naming and using labels. Maybe they'd be helpful to you: * https://youtu.be/aV1EJ3eMG9g *…

The best solution I can recommend would actually be to delete these spaces in Cloud and instead, use the Migration Assistant from Atlassian to move all the spaces at once. The Migration Assistant maintains all links as it migrates the content.
-
You could also use the Live Search macro. I show how to use it here: https://youtu.be/lnvTJCV2wB0?t=143

Hmmmm, it seems like you're close with Visibility for Confluence. I'm also reminded of the conditional content feature our app Scroll Versions offers on Confluence Data…
