This is going to be really helpful! is there an API we can use to set and update these statuses?
-
These are going to be great, thanks @DA 🔥👍🏻✅📢🎥❓

So glad to see this in action, great work on the videos team! It's great to see that copying and pasting doesn't break anything and that you can use it to make multiple charts with a similar configuration.

If you go to the Confluence Home Page, on the left side there is a Drafts option. It will show a list of all your unpublished drafts.
-
Hey @Randy O'Neal They announced this feature a while back on the community as well, and I don’t know of anyone who has it in their Confluence sites yet, unfortunately.
-
Mikael's thoughts will achieve just what your looking for. Enabling Anonymous Access globally doesn't make any spaces accessible. A space only becomes accessible when you enable anonymous access for that space.
-
Hey @Victor I guess it depends on what you mean by "open to the public." If you've made the page anonymously accessible, so anyone on the internet can view it, there you can't use Confluence permissions to control who sees the page. It'll be open to everyone. If you want to keep it from some people within your…

Hey @Justin Lafollette There are so many options out there. One option would be to turn the parent page into a sort of overview page. This is great for situations where the child pages all hold similar content, like if they're all project pages. The Page Properties and Page Properties Report macros can be really helpful…

Hi @Silvia Edinam Alemawor Confluence Cloud is pretty great, and there's a lot to learn. Here are some resources for you: * Atlassian's Confluence Documentation: This is where I first learned about Confluence * My team's Getting Started with the Editor video tutorial series: The editor is a big deal in Confluence, so this…

Hi Tia, This one is tricky. So, yes, you could totally give all your colleagues access using anonymous access, but that will also open your space up so anyone on the internet can also access and comment on your pages. So in this case, the best think to do would be to get a licence for all your teammates. And alternative…

Hi @DELIVER For your first question, I'll actually be hosting a livestream next week with @Gorka Puente where we'll explore this exact topic. Maybe join us and ask questions along the way.
-
Hey everyone, thanks so much for your responses here. As promised, here are all the responses. I'm no spreadsheet wizard, but I've taken the time to break up and clean up the raw responses to each question on their own tab and tried to pick out the "top 6" apps mentioned. This is in no way a perfect scientific approach,…

You could create event pages containing all the event information in a Page Properties macro and then, on the parent page, you could put a Page Properties Report macro to display all the events and their details. Something like this: https://youtu.be/gIsC6wvN5D0

If you run into that, here's the process to becoming the key master (love this reference @Danno). https://confluence.atlassian.com/confeval/other-atlassian-evaluator-resources/my-admin-left-the-company-how-do-i-gain-admin-access-to-atlassian-cloud-applications

Hey @John Walker You're in an exciting and confusing time. I'm glad you're getting started here but also sorry that it's a rough one. As you get started, the important first step is to make sure you're a Confluence/Jira admin. This will ensure you can assume ownership of things and really get going. Once you're an admin,…
-
Hey @Max Roth Along with a solid page template, I'd also recommend using a solid set of Page Properties on all your pages so you can create really robust overview pages/lists. You could also think about a good labeling scheme so you can pull pages together in different ways. And be sure you also have some sort of page…

@Teodora V _Warsaw Dynamics_ We're bringing a big bucket of Confluence best practices to Team '22. We just did the internal beta test for the Collaboration Games '22 on Friday, and wow, they're going to be awesome! Our best practice: We've found that a great way to engage the team in Confluence after we do an internal…

Hi @Prasad Eda I'm sorry to hear that you're running into challenges using Scroll Versions. * For reordering pages, you should still be able to do this in the Reorder Pages section of the space settings. When you do this, be sure to move the page, and all the version pages beneath it (they start with a "." followed by the…
-
Hi @Jennifer Christie I think the idea to work on this in another space is a good one! I'd also say to keep in mind that if you're sharing your space publicly, you may impact search engine results with the changes you make. That could be exactly what you're looking for, I just wanted to bring that up. Also, if you haven't…

Well, when problems arise, we like to be there to help. :) But yes, I get it with the licensing costs. When we pick out apps, we find it best to check with the other people using Confluence to see who else might benefit. Sometimes an app works well for a lot of us and then sometimes, a few people have to come up with a…

Hey @Scott Beeson My team's app Scroll PDF Exporter has two macros you can use to designate content that shouldn't be included in the PDF export. The content displays in Confluence, but it's completely absent in the PDF. Might be just what you need.…

@Nikki Zavadska _Appfire_ This is fantastic! Thank you so much for bringing together so many inspiring women from around the ecosystem.
-
Hi @HaNen By itself, Confluence doesn't offer too much by way of version management. There is a page history where you can see all the versions of a page over time, so it's more like a change log for each page. My team makes a few different apps for Confluence that extend what Confluence can do with true content versioning…
-
This is proper brilliant! Now I kinda want the Table of Contents macro to be updated to have the option to include the comments section as well.
-
Hi @Richard McBride Our app Scroll Viewport enables you to create a help center from one or more spaces, where you can customize the header and footer. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211636/scroll-viewport-for-confluence?tab=overview&hosting=cloud If you don't want all of your docs on the site, you could use our…
-
Hi @Jonn Christopher Nicolas There are a lot of great tools and techniques you can use in Confluence to create great documentation. There are also some apps that my team, and others, have created which will further enhance your help content creation and publishing. You can check out my team's site Rock the Docs to read…
-
@Zorica Neckovic If you use page templates, you could check out my team's free app Create From Template Pro. It's like the Create from Template macro, but with the added ability to set under which page the new page should be created. This is a great way to easily reinforce for team members the parent/child page under which…
-
@Alexis Marticorena Maybe try creating and configuring the macro on a page and then copying and pasting it into the template. I feel like I've had to do that before

Hi @Stephen Ellwood My team just released a free storage format editor app that might be helpful for you. You're able to see the page in the new and old formats as well as HTML. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1227501/storage-format-editor-for-confluence?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
