@aviv_cohen Perhaps this is too robust for your needs, but my team's app Scroll Viewport includes a macro you can use to manually set all metadata about your pages. With Scroll Viewport, you can turn one or more Confluence spaces into a full help center which you can customise to make it match your brand look and feel.…

Hi @Marine Da Costa I think my team's app Scroll Versions might be a good fit here. It has a feature called variants in which you can set up a subset of your pages to be part of a variant, so you can select and export just the content within that variant. You can learn more here:…

Hey @John Sharp Unfortunately, there is no support in Confluence for read receipts. You would need an app like Scroll Documents or Comalla Document Management in order to have read receipts.
-
Hi @Lena Boiser My team has been into help center in Confluence for a long time now. Without apps, I think @Brant Schroeder recommendation is spot on. You can also use Panel/Tip/Note/etc macros in conjunction with page sections to give the page a nicer visual layout. To do everything you're asking though, you'll definitely…

Hey @[deleted] You might also consider writing in what technical writers refer to as "topics". Essentially, it's a way of grouping similar types of content and helps avoid long scrolling pages. There's some info on my team's guide here: https://www.k15t.com/rock-the-docs/creating-topics

Hi @Neelesh vaikhary I'm not really a Jira Service Management (as it's now called) expert. I'd recommend asking about it here. There are so many people with lots of experience. If you want to take a look at Scroll Viewport, I could definitely show you that. :) Just let me know.

@Janusz Adamczyk Along with the Excerpt Include macro, here are some tips for advanced content reuse.
-
Hi @Neelesh vaikhary I believe you can do this with Jira Service Desk, so maybe check that out. My team is also working on improving our app Scroll Viewport, which creates a help center from your Confluence spaces, to require authentication in order to access content. It's not ready yet, but I wanted to mention that we're…

Hi @Robin Junghans I ran into a similar problem with some images, with the drag handles appearing smaller than normal and it was impossible to resize them. I found that deleting and readding the images fixed the issue though, so I'm not sure that's much help.
-
@Chris L Honestly, we've been hoping Atlassian would add the ability to add multiple spaces to Jira Service Desk to support something like this. Two different subjects, searchable in the same place.🤯 While we can't solve this particular problem directly in JSD, you could check out my team's app Scroll Viewport. You can see…

Hi @M GUEBEL I haven't used the Documentation Theme in a long time. It's been discontinued by Atlassian at this point. I also don't think there is a way to hide this section on just one page. I suppose you could create a small javascript hack that would remove it for a page with a specific URL, though, I don't think this…

Ah, interesting. * I suppose you can look at the Page History to see some of this, but perhaps that's not enough. You could also consider using an Inclusion Library to house your images and snippets in Confluence. I find those much easier to make changes across an entire space. * For managing versions, you could check out…

@Andrew Rose Are your users internal or external? If they're external, and you only want to share one space with them, you could consider Jira Service Desk. With it, you can set one space as accessible to your unlimited Service Desk customers. Another option that comes to mind is my team's app Scroll Viewport. With the…

@Matias Andrés Castañón I would recommend linking to a page header, since that's supported in Cloud. Check out the Link to a heading on a page or another page table section for how to do this. Also, there is an improvement ticket that's in progress for adding the Anchor macro in…
-
@Dan Moran Are you using Scroll Versions per chance? If so, you could publish to a new space. When publishing, Scroll Versions resolves links.
-
Ah, yeah The app can't handle advanced content layouts like that. :( Another option could be our app Scroll Viewport. While the content won't live in Wordpress, a Scroll Viewport site is built to be easy to browse.
-
Also, here's the documentation for this: https://help.k15t.com/scroll-word-exporter/latest/server/create-and-manage-space-templates-147032852.html

Hi @Belinda Beukes I was digging through the Jira project for Confluence Cloud and I can't find a current issue for this. That said, I've experienced something similar when including content from a page with images. They just show up as a broken image. Have you contacted Atlassian Support?
-
Hi @i_isay The only option I can think of is to: * Export the content out of your writing tool as a Word file when you want to update the content in Confluence * Delete the old documentation in the Confluence space * Import the Word document Why do you want to write in another tool?
-
Hi @[deleted] At the moment, Scroll Viewport only publishes content to the public web, as @Walter Buggenhout mentions, but we're working on adding the ability to require authentication before viewing the content. We're still working on this, so if you want to follow along, you could sign up for our newsletter. Also, I…
-
Hi @Merry Chu You could use my team's app Scroll Documents to create versions that can then be exported as Word or PDF files. One thing is that you'll need to manually create new version snapshots at certain dates. Perhaps monthly. Unfortunately, there's nothing automatic in place right now.
-
Hey John, My teams' Scroll WP Exporter app might work for you.
-
@Gui Ávila some parts of their help center are totally custom, but most is built using my team's tool Scroll Viewport. Another example of the app in use is on our help center.
-
@Shenice Parkyn I'm with the team that makes Scroll Viewport. It's true, Confluence Server is looking at end of life, so I would hate for your team to get started there only to have to migrate to Cloud or Datacenter in the future. While Scroll Viewport works on both, I was wondering what content structuring issues you've…
-
Hi @shilpa shilpa You could maybe try my team's app Scroll PDF Exporter. Not only can you fully customize the template for the PDF, but you can use one of the macros for ignoring content. The content won't be exported or shown in the ToC.
-
Hi @Kim Wallace So if I understand correctly, you want the title of Page A to appear within the text on Page B, which is included on Page A. Am I getting that right? If so, I can't say I know how to include the title of a page as a variable. You could link to a specific page, which will pull in the page title dynamically,…
-
Hi @Ella Sparks Sorry this isn't working for you. If you wouldn't mind emailing us at help@k15t.com, we'll take close look at the issue.
-
Hi @Dierk Wiedemann If you're looking for a more visual way to customize the PDF export, you could check out my teams' app Scroll PDF Exporter.
-
@Charles Baldwin If you're looking to make the knowledge base more like a website, you might want to check out my team's app Scroll Viewport. As an example of what a Scroll Viewport site looks like, here's our help center.

Hi @Alexey Dorofeev It looks like you're using my team's app Scroll Versions. Unfortunately, changes in the page tree can't be versioned. So if you change the hierarchy in one version, it affects all versions. I wish we had another option for you, but we're limited with what we can do.
