I had faced this issue some 3-4 years back. What I did was as follows; 1) Enable nonproxy port in JIRA and Confluence - add a section in server.xml of both applications. 2) Login to both servers - using the non proxy link , hostname/ip and port. 3) change the base url to these non proxy link temporarily. 4) now create the…

There are certain set of best practices for any tool to perform well - I think you should stick to that instead. And like @Earl McCutcheon suggested, I don't see a problem making BULK CHANGES in a batch of 5. Adding memory will pump up the performance to some extent but how long shall we keep increasing the memory just…
-
Also , try using those free Linux servers that you get from AWS - not sure how much resources they could allocate under free category.
-
@Puneet Varma Good to know.
-
I run on 8GB - both JIRA and Confluence, well it's Windows 10 and for my personal use. But if it just for testing you can start from your machine. For a fullfledged Production Env I am sure you will provision new servers. Confluence and Syncrony processes consume different memory allocations so I'd suggest a minimum of…

You have to set some proper filter @Puneet Varma because they ultimately belong to the same project.
-
Is this happening for all the attachments that you've moved from JIRA CLOUD ? Or do you see some of them in your on-prem JIRA
-
Assuming you placed all attachments in the right location - try re-indexing your environment.
-
Not quite clear - you mean you want to have a filter inside your board which when clicked displays all the EPIC inside the board. Is that what you are saying ? If that is the case - Nic is right, use Quick Filter.
-
General - Saved Filters for the Board. After that works fine and you get all the issues that you expect in a board - you can further filter INSIDE THE BOARD using QUICK FILTER. Say inside SOFTWARE - you have ORACLE, SAP, PHP, TOMCAT, you can use Quick Filter option to change views further. But for now - work on Saved…

I would do something like this. 1) Create a new field with dropdown option - Hardware and Software 2) Every time I create issue I select field either as hardware or as software 3) Add that in my filter queries respectively and have them in their respective boards. Pros - 1) You'll learn how to make a custom field with…

There is no distinction between Software Refresh and Hardware Refresh board filter query. Find a parameter that differentiates your issues between Hardware Refresh and Software Refresh, add it in the filter and they will work.
-
share your filters here if you like.
-
Check the two filters that you use in Kanban and Scrum board - there is a commonality between the two filters and that is why they are fetching the same data on both boards.
-
@Prashant Mali Depends on the amount of data those two projects would contain.
-
@Piyush_Annadate It is possible.
-
Very thoughtful of you - thanks .
-
Yes - to know what new has been added and what was missing and has been improved, you will have to be either a regular user of one version so that you can compare with the other. Or Reading release notes - but yes once you start using the software you will have an idea bout things changing.
-
And this is for the latest one ; https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-7-11-x-release-notes-952600888.html
-
You can read the release note ; https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-7-1-x-release-notes-788728210.html
-
You can play around using LOOK AND FEEL option and change colours.
-
You can also download the plugin and upload and install manually in your Jenkins Server
-
I'm not sure about the integration between the two - but by looking at the MESSAGE - it seems you may have to install a plugin on jenkins server end as well. You might want to read more on that end of the integration - not sure where but I made a common sense guess reading the error message :p
-
Your file should be in ..../application-data/confluence/
-
Just to confirm - your current setup has an external database and is not using the default database right ?
-
* Try a fresh reinstall first using the internal H2 database - do not connect it to the current database. * Then edit your confluence.cfg.xml file and point it to the database. Not sure if it will work but give it a try.

Thank you Monique - good to know all about Atlassian and its cheerful people.

And also thank you for introducing me to crunchbase :p
