The only thing I'd do would be to keep a backup of the old version before I had upgraded JIRA :P. Using data of an higher version on a lower version will work for sure but doesn't seem right to me. Application is upgraded with data in it - now rolling back the application version along with data ( god alone knows what…

What do you exactly mean by read only users ? You might want to create a new group with only browse project permissions maybe. But it also depends a lot on how the project permissions are as well.
-
You are on Cloud version so I'd suggest you raise a support ticket to Atlassian if the issue continues to bother you as you have no access to and servers or logs.
-
Looks like a latency issue to me - seems you have already selected but the page isn't loading perhaps ?
-
If your JIRA Service Desk is hosted in-premise , I think you will have to work with your networking and security team to have this configured. This looks like a networking issue and not JIRA issue . It all depends on how your networks - security team makes the JIRA url accessible and inaccessible.
-
The reason I am asking you to revisit your memory allocation is because I have faced similar situation when I was running Atlassian JIRA and Confluence on AWS Free Tiers. I had the memory increased on a billed Tier and it ran smooth.
-
No. I think Petr is suggesting to you make a script that deletes old backup files. Let the backup continue to run as a service in JIRA. You can work out new schedules but I do not think a manual backup is what is being recommended. But yes - backups at Database levels can be created and run manually or via scripts.
-
If you are using the free Tier EC2 of AWS - trust me , the RAM / Memory it has to offer is not sufficient for JIRA or Confluence to run. I am to understand it is around 2GB - is that the case ?
-
Why does that spike look so much like issue reindexing ? Was somebody running a JIRA reindexing or a project reindexing ? Did somebody run an integrity check ? I'd say - dig deeper in your log file , catalina.out. The timeframe looks huge so I'm sure you will be able to connect the dots using the timeline.
-
Memory allocations seem fine to me too. I'd suggest JIRA restarts at certain intervals you know - it would be a good thing to do. Maybe once in two weeks or something . Check your DB Monitoring screen during 99% usage time just to check if DB connections show anything.
-
Have you installed and new plugins lately ? What is the memory allocation in your server ? What is the jvm allocation your server ? You may want to investigate further . There could be so many reasons and based on that you may want to take corrective measures ? I will start with JVM allocation.
-
I'd suggest you to reach out to Atlassian Support directly via Support Ticket. I am not sure how this could be handled though - but maybe they have a way out.
-
Unfortunately, I am also unable to access my JIRA when I use IE11.
-
Is your JIRA running behind an Apache HTTP or something ?
-
1) I am not sure of any built-in method , maybe some kind of scripts at DB level perhaps ? 2) For LDAP Directory, you will have to make changes at the AD Level - I don't think its worth doing at application level.

Hello, Why so keen on using IE ? I'd suggest stop using IE for almost all purpose unless you desperately need it. Also , try Edge is you are so keen on using something like IE :-) I for myself prefer Yandex, Mozilla, Chrome , Opera.
-
Good to know that your issue is resolved. Please be informed that increasing memory always would not solve such problems though. We could make out this time that memory was the issue - it may not the next time in future :-)
-
Does the SERVER ID match with the Server ID in your account from where you are copying your license ?
-
Hello Chris, I am imagining a bit of everything - System Administration, Workflow Administration, Project Administration , One Word Answers , Scenario Questions and so on. I think the best result out of it would be that it would get us back to study table and make us read more perhaps :-)
-
Try clearing browser cache - complete history , that is all I can say as of now. ;-)
-
I don't think there is any other way to access your account if your recovery code is not working . I doubt changing browser would change anything . But try Chrome for the revolving issue.
-
Just allocate more JVM memory .
-
I was down with minor eye infection this week - and I was so wishing that all the apps I use would have DARK app. Great stuff that Opsgenie has it now on mobile app.
-
Try logging into your account separately and try generating a new evaluation license.
-
Please mark the answer as accepted so that everyone knows that it has been resolved . :-)

Ricardo, I am not quite sure about the exact error message but just to ask - have you created all the prerequisites before starting the import ? Do the required users exists - did you agree to merge or overrides users in cloud and backup jira ?
-
Please go through documents on custom fields - this can be easily achieved.
-
Are you using some tool to migrate ? Also can you share a larger information of your log message please ?
