Can you click on EDIT FILTER QUERY and show us what it contains ?
-
Normally, my method of upgrade is to move from one big release to another big release to check what have changed and then further to a small version; say from 7.6.* to 8.0.* , and then from 8.0.* to 8.3.* or 8.4.* ( as you will)
-
This is an interesting requirement . I have never linked issues between two different JIRA instances. Does creating application link alone work ? Not sure if " Linked Issues " option was ever meant to link two issues in two different instances . Have you ever heard anyone do it before ?
-
Did you check the filter of the board ? Maybe your issue does not satisfy your board filter requirement so it goes back to backlog.
-
Thank you for the information - I was unaware of this bug.
-
You mean you intend to have a link between your JIRA and Confluence ? Application Links can help you associate JIRA and Confluence to each other and then you can pull in your STORY data to Confluence - if that is what you intend to do .
-
You need to find a commonality between all the users that you would want to sync from your AD. All your JIRA Users in the AD, if they fall under one common group then you can use the DN which is common between all users . You will have to get a help from some AD Admin who administers your organization AD and who can give…
-
If I were to decide - I would move frm 7.9.* to 8.0* version and then jump from 8.0.* to 8.4.*
-
User or Group Filters on the AD Configuration Page. If you can add all JIRA Users to one group in AD. Using that Group as the basis - filter all other users except users in that group in AD.
-
Are you exporting a large number of issues ? There is a place where numbers can be increased for more issues to accomodate
-
Seems like a pretty simple thing - would you mind reviewing your Creation of Group - browser refresh perhaps.
-
I'd just export a xml backup from Production and Import it back into Staging - everything gets imported. Plugins are also a good option to import selective projects
-
And that is why JIRA as a product runs in the market - to create projects :-)
-
And will both instance have the same projects ? Or do you want just common users between the two instances ?
-
JIRA has DataCenter version - you can individually access nodes/instances with the same ID , update projects from any instance and see it on the other instance as well. But , I am sure when you are using data center - you would not want to access instances individually ( though you can ) but via one single DNS or url. Yet…
-
Agreed - he will probably have to access nodes with different urls always and never use one single dns for his jira instance in data center which again defeats the whole dc purpose
-
You can have one common LDAP Active Directory configured for both instances so that the users are similar in both the instances. When you say jump across or between these two instances - I am not quite sure what you mean or intend to achieve.
-
ummm - you should have checked documents before doing this upgrade :-) Please check the below link for further assistance ; https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/upgrading-jira-data-center-with-zero-downtime-938846953.html
-
What errors do you see in your first node after upgrade ? It would be better to resolve that . The whole point of having a data center and nodes is to have a seamless upgrade and " always " available situation. If this is not achieved - no point in having a DCenter.
-
It is quite obvious that 8.4.1 will be better - it will have all the bug fixes that 7.13.8 will not have - it will have new features - better functionalities. By the way, we already have 8.4.2 now :-)
-
Something wrong with my badges though - I somehow seems to have earned March 2018 batch on March 2019 again though we are running on October 2019 :p
-
By the way, there is no on-premise version of Trello.
-
You can also join the Trello Community under Atlassian; https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello/ct-p/trello
-
Ummm - if it's just drag and drop , why don't you try Trello ? I find it pretty simple and to the point. It is also an Atlassian product but a miniature form of JIRA. https://trello.com/
-
Just down the bin file from the website and run it - the upgrade steps are self-explanatory as you go. I have upgraded a lot of applications in my career and JIRA/Confluence seems to be the easiest and seamless. Points to note; 1) Check your current version and the new version gap - if the gap is huge , try going to a…

Thanks Nic - I have achieved my goals for now. I have tested - attachments show up at both ends ( node 1 and 2 ) - deleting from either of the nodes deletes from both ends. Nic - is there a way to skip directories that are a part of shared directory or add more if we wish to ? My shared folders seem to have been picked up…
-
But when I look at your screenshot - you are already a member of administrator group .
-
Associate that workflow with your project - or/and issue types that you are using. It will automatically start showing up with issues in your sprint.
-
Hey - Ive resolved my issue , thanks.
-
Hey Jack - I think I solved it. Thanks - my data are replicating :-)
