Hey @Dania Zaccara The JQL output is not the problem. I've pushed a new version v0.7.3 that should fix the encoding errors in the windows machine, please update your own version. The file-writing mechanism should replace any unknown character that's not UTF-8. Then let me know if that solves things for you.

Hey @Dania Zaccara This seems like an authentication issue based on the stack trace on line 1403 which points to the fact that the request returned none. Your first check here will be to confirm if the credentials you're using are valid but the trace, they don't seem to be valid against your instance.

You need to provide the client_id, secret and callback URL as a JSON body that is sent to an authorization server. The process is explained here with a step-by-step guide on how to achieve it. So on postman, you should set the URL to get the code as the callback URL and include the above as the body that's sent as a GET…

What headers are you passing with your curl command? You can authenticate with the below method on the cloud, either by using basic auth that's base64 encoded curl --headers 'Authorization: Basic anZYxxxxx' OR Email + API token combination curl --user 'email@example.com:APITOKEN' Passing the correct headers, request method…

Alternatively, if you're keen on using the Atlassian API, you could download an export of all issues within the specified project or any project into a single CSV file (see this article I wrote which shows you how to do so via API).

If your backend is python and the frontend is React, then you should have the frontend make an HTTP request to the backend. Using React, you can then parse the response and display that in the frontend UI. However, this method would typically be easy if you're familiar with Javascript (i.e React). Your backend wouldn't…

Hey @Steven Rhodes That's an interesting question. The bulk jobs are done in 30 minutes intervals due to limited resources. However, for bulk delete jobs, I would recommend uploads of 4K rows (max rows in your CSV file) per task to avoid hitting the timeout state. As you've noticed, the logout doesn't impact the job and it…

No, Jira does not retain data of deleted content. Once you delete it, it is gone forever and there's no recovery for it.

I will suggest you start with the API documentation for an issue. You can script it however you prefer. Also, you can look into this article I wrote a while back here. It allows you to get an extract of attachments on your instance in a CSV file format. That will give you a report of all attachments within your instance,…

You need to use the organization API to get the users within your organization and what product(s) they have access to.
-
Which API are you using, can you share an example?
-
Good, you got it working.

Hey, The Jira python library basically fails with the error message as you mention response text = {"errorMessages":[],"errors":{"customfield_10197":"Specify a valid 'id' or 'name' for Severity Main"}} Although looking at their documentation, the above should work but somehow it seems to be having an issue even when I…

You have to create the logic of what the conversion script would do. It would be good to start off with ADF's different formatting standards and work your way from there.

I think we should stick to the name "Status details" just to clarify any naming ambiguity. So this custom field. It is a select choice single field. I think if this field is on screen, you can get the customfield_id and perform the same step as above ticket = sys.argv[1] issue = authedJira.issue(ticket)…
-
Well, that's the error message. Add the status field to the screens of your project.
-
You can perform the same step but the status field is a string and not a list, so you can simply just do ticket = sys.argv[1] issue = authedJira.issue(ticket) issue.fields.status = "Production" issue.update(fields={"status": issue.fields.status})
-
Can you show an example of what you're already doing?
-
Can you mention the specific error that is shown to you? Although, I would recommend not having such a long JQL query. For starters, it doesn't help with the performance of your search. Break down your search and do not overcomplicate it.
-
Try using response = requests.request('PUT',url, headers=headers, json=payload, verify=False) The difference is, when using the json argument, you're sending a JSON serializable python object instead.
-
That would be the wrong API to use, you need to generate an API from https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens if you want to access that endpoint.
-
You need to reach out to Atlassian support to ensure that his email address is not on a blocked list. Prior to that, he can first check his personal settings to ensure that he allows emails to come in.
-
You can change the permission of the project to accept uploads from anonymous users. That would mean users can see an issue anonymously and upload files to it. However, that might not be a good idea considering that it might pose a security concern generally. You can alternatively, create a microservice that can accept…

That TXT record is checked periodically if I'm not mistaken daily. Therefore, you should never remove it from your DNS record.
-
You should use email address + token combination and not user name.
-
You should do this via scripting. If you're searching for word document files, do you need to read the content of the word document or just search for it as an attachment on the issues if it exists, then download it?
-
E-mail address API is only available if you're an app vendor, see details here and access to it was removed due to GDPR. So if you're simply using this just for your organization. I'll suggest you go with the organization API instead if you want to get the email addresses of users within your organization. Otherwise, you…

If you're familiar with a little python, you can follow this article I wrote and get export in CSV all fields into a single file. It should work with username and password on Jira server.
-
You can search the user endpoint API and do filtering of users whose "active" key is false. However, a user being inactive doesn't mean they exist as part of your user list or user base (i.e. if you have Jira Software and Jira Service Management applications). They could have been deleted from your instance and are in a…

It could be that the user doesn't have the particular permission needed to perform the operation. You should detail the steps you took for yourself and attempt to perform the same with that user and see where there's a disconnect. That's how you figure out what could be the likely problem. Definitely worth examining your…
