  • Hi @CathieWilliams - It's a fairly involved process but you can export your Excel file to a CSV file, and then import it to a Jira project - this page outlines the process. Alternatively if you're using Jira Software Cloud, and your to-do list is very simple, you can copy and paste the entire list to a next-gen Kanban…
  • Hi @Faisal Ladak - I think you need quotation marks around the colon too, so your query would be: project = "CCAI Team" AND issuetype = Epic AND summary !~ ":"
  • @Farbod Jahan - Yes, this is possible. You can modify your Kanban board (or create a new board) so that is uses the following JQL filter: project = "My Project" AND fixVersion = "Version 1.0" This will find all issues in "My Project" that belong to the version called Version 1.0. Of course, you'll need to edit the values…
  • Hi @chadsmom - You should still be able to assign an issue to your "Done" epic by opening the issue, selecting the Epic Link field, and searching for the epic (both name and issue key should work). Are you not able to search for your epic using its name?
  • Hi @[deleted] - Would a JQL query fit your needs? This one should get you all the flagged issues in the project called My project: project = "My project" AND Flagged is not EMPTY
  • Hi @Bunty - I might be misunderstanding you - Are you asking if you can display all 10 features on the one burndown chart? As far as I know, this isn't possible. However, the burndown chart will show data for each release, and you can swap between each release by selecting the dropdown menu at the top of the chart. Hope…
  • Hi @Fiaz - It isn't possible to change a next-gen project's type. If you want a next-gen software project, you'll need to create a new next-gen Scrum or next-gen Kanban project instead.
  • Hi @Jenna Goodward - There is currently no way to have multiple boards associated with a next-gen project. This probably isn't very helpful, but the moment if you want to stick to next-gen you'll have to create a different project for each scrum team. We will be bringing multiple boards to next-gen projects, although we…
  • Yes, this is correct. The classic Kanban template does not have the sprint functionality, but the classic Scrum template does. If you want to stick to the Kanban template, the releases feature is the closest way to mimic sprints. Though in my opinion if your team does work in sprints, you'll be better off in the Scrum…
  •  I liked how the board shows only items per each sprint then hides everything else and puts it into the backlog. Is there a way to have the same approach in classic? Hi @Farbod Jahan - I may be misunderstanding you, but this is exactly how the classic Scrum template works. All issues remain in the backlog, and the only…
  • Hi @chadsmom - When you select Mark as Done for an epic, it doesn't affect the issues still assigned to it (ie: they will remain in their status, and won't be set to Done). You can still assign stories to that epic if you want to; you won't be able to do it via the Epic panel anymore, but you can go into an individual…
  • Hi @Esther Strom - As far as I know, there's is no way to easily see which ones are classic vs next-gen. Unfortunately, the screen that lists all projects in Jira only allows you to filter by the 4 project types (Business, Service Desk, Software, and Ops). So the best you can do is filter by Software projects, but it won't…
  • Hi @Chris Evans - As @Alexey Matveev said, it sounds like the Reports feature was disabled for your project. If this is the case, you can re-enable it by going to your next-gen project and navigating to Project settings > Features. As for your other question, the only two reports that are currently available for next-gen…
  • Hi @Fiaz - Next-gen projects are more flexible than the classic Scrum and Kanban templates. If you're in a next-gen software project, you can switch between Scrum and Kanban by turning the Sprints feature on and off. To get to the features, head to your next-gen project and select Project settings > Features.
  • Hi @Shahrzad Samii - Versions represent milestones at different points in your project. Basically, they're another way to organize your work. There's a guide on using versions here: https://www.atlassian.com/agile/tutorials/versions
  • Hi @Alain Trembley - The Jira Cloud mobile apps don't have an offline mode. You'll be able to see projects and issues you've viewed recently, but won't be able to add new issues, transition issues, add comments, etc... while offline.
  • Hi @Steve Fox - I could be wrong, but I don't think such a function exists. The quickest way to attach images to an issue is to open the issue and drag an image onto it.
  • Hi @[deleted] I can confirm that the only two reports available for next-gen Jira Software so far are Burnup and Velocity. As @Marty said, we're constantly working on the next-gen experience, so please do keep an eye out. What other reports would you like to see in next-gen projects? It would help us a lot if you could…
  • Hi @Jonathon O'Neill - Epics, unlike other issue types, have a Summary field and a Name field. I believe the text you're seeing here is the Name field, so updating this field will change the text you see.
  • Hi @Samandeep Singh - You can go to the issue search, enter a JQL query for all the subtasks you're looking for, and then print the list. I don't know which version you're using, but here's how you'd do it in Jira Cloud: * Go to Jira > Issues and filters > Search issues * Hit Advanced next to the search bar (if you're not…
  • Hi @Troy Center - I believe Done epics remain on the Roadmap indefinitely, though they are grayed out. I don't think there's a way to exclude them from the Roadmap, other than to filter out the Done status.
  • Hi @adm-jiramapfre - According to https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/what-is-a-board-764477964.html, the maximum number of issues a board can load is 5000. Boards can display up to 5000 issues at a time. If your board is trying to display more than 5000 issues at once, you'll receive an error message, and…
  • Hi @Zied Kerkeni - You should be able to invite your professional email to your Atlassian site as another user, and give this user site administrator access.
  • Hi @Sumit Sethi - Does the Control Chart give you the information you're looking for? https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRASOFTWARECLOUD/Control+Chart
  • Also, is there a way to filter Backlog by something other than the Epic (custom field, for example)? Aside from the text search and assignee filter, you can also filter by Label but I believe this option only displays if there are issues in the Backlog with labels.
  • Hi @michael.walton - Is this the error that you're getting? {fieldname} is not applicable for the current project and/or issue type If so, I think the problem is that the list view that you're on is for all projects, and your custom fields are only for your next-gen project. If this was a normal custom field on a classic…
  • Hi @Nikesh Mistry - I believe the Roadmap displays all epics in the next-gen project, and for now the only filtering option from there is Status. As far as I know, there's no way to filter the Roadmap any further than that.
  • Hi @Elisée YAO - If you're getting started with Jira Software, I can also recommend the following resources: * Getting started with Jira: 6 basic steps * Learn Scrum with Jira Software * Learn Kanban with Jira Software
  • Hi @Ligmie Preval - Further to what @Kian Stack Mumo Systems said, you can also add basic rules to your board, by going to … > Manage rules in the top-right corner. This will give your board some basic workflow-like functionality.
  • Hi @Raviteja Moganti - I'm not sure if you've considered this, but Jira Cloud does have a Roadmap feature, but it's only available for next-gen Scrum and next-gen Kanban projects. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRASOFTWARECLOUD/Roadmap
