The problem is that IssueFunction doesn't support custom fields with spaces as mentioned here, also IssueFunction can help as long as your custom fields are date, datetime or numeric fields only.

Hi Bob, I understand the confusion now, after you go to ---->General Configuration you will be able to see collaborative editing on the left side bar as in the below image. "it is not inside the general configuration page." i hope this will solve your problem 

You are searching in the wrong page To check if Synchrony is running, go to --- > General Configuration > Collaborative editing.
