Great to hear that you were able to figure it out! If you don't mind me asking again, I assume you were talking about tab macros from Content Formatting Macros for Confluence? I just want to make sure, as I haven't personally used that app before. By the way, if you encounter another issue I just wanted to let you know…

Hi @Peter Christopher, When you say "tab control of any kind", what macro are you exactly talking about? It sounds like this tab macro might mess with the HTML that the PocketQuery macro produces which leads to PocketQuery's JavaScript not knowing where to insert the chart. Cheers, Sven

Hey @Jonno Katahanas, that looks awesome! Is there a chance that this will be opened up for Marketplace Partners at some point so that we can implement Smart Links/Cards ourselves for other services/domains that we think might be missing? :) Cheers, Sven

There's an awesome app by Resolution for that. Should do exactly what you need. You can check it out here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1221608/api-token-authentication-confluence Hope this helps! :) Cheers, Sven

Hi @steph ventura, I suppose you got this text from this page? This is actually for Confluence Server. For Confluence Cloud there is no native HTML macro available. If you still need a HTML macro in the Cloud, you should have a look at the Marketplace. There are several solutions available, but keep in mind that they are…

Hi @murali.sundararaju, In the old editor "{" is used to insert macros. In the new editor you need to use "/". The reason that it worked for others is likely that they tried it on a page with the old editor. You can learn more about the new editor here. Cheers, Sven

According to this documentation page, you should be able to see the requests in the "find new apps" administration page: I was also able to find the notifications in the "manage apps" screen: Hope this helps! :) Cheers, Sven

As seen above, the error is thrown by Scroll Viewport which is from K15t. The official Confluence documentation uses this app and to fix this error, K15t will likely need to release a bugfix (if they haven't already) and Atlassian will need to upgrade to the newest version.

I raised a support ticket and they looked at this thread but you're correct: seems like nothing has happened so far. The problem is that they will probably also have to raise a ticket with Atlassian as I'm not sure whether they have a way to contact someone about this directly. Nevertheless, might make sense if you also…

From an app developer perspective I can tell you that imports can definitely mess with your instance, you're right. If you do a site import, your instance gets a new "clientKey" and that definitely can break apps and possibly other stuff as well. However, for space imports that shouldn't be the case I think. But it's…

Hi @martin, On Server this is definitely possible. There we are providing a feature like this in our app Lively Blogs: In the Cloud, your only chance would be the REST API. Looking at the Create Content Endpoint, it doesn't seem like there's a creation date parameter or something like that, so it doesn't look like this…

Hi Steffen, First off, good to hear that this is not a HideElements bug! The warnings in your screenshot are pretty normal (and don't do any harm). Only if there were any errors (red messages) we would've gotten anything out of it. So this means we don't have any new information. I have to admit that I'm a bit puzzled as…
-
Thanks for summoning me @Fabienne Gerhard and hi @Steffen Vester! :) Since you say that the watch button doesn't show up for the user, but does for admins, I'm 99% sure that this has nothing to do with HideElements (as it doesn't take permissions into account). But just to make 100% sure, you could go into the Manage Apps…

Hi Vivek, The easiest way would probably be to use a browser plugin for this. For Confluence, there is a ticket from 2018 but it doesn't have a single vote. So I personally wouldn't really expect a feature like this to come to Confluence. Cheers, Sven

Awesome! Thanks! :)

Hi @Andrew, Because of the new UI, Confluence Cloud themes are currently kind of dead. See this thread from the Atlassian Developer Community for context. Cheers, Sven
-
Hi @Elaine Foley, Unfortunately I have never used a word count app myself so I can't give any recommendations, but maybe you'll find something useful in related discussions here on the community. Cheers, Sven
-
No, as far as I'm aware there's no option to do something like that. If you want to have a Confluence behind a firewall you will need to look into Atlassian's Server & Data Center offering. If you want to have the advantages of Server/DC but do not want to host Confluence yourself, you could talk to a Solution Partner like…

Hi @Tobias Schade, Maybe the Page Properties Macro that comes with Confluence can do what you need? Cheers, Sven
-
Hi @Siva Rama Harsha Pradeep Yerramilli, There is in fact an e-mail API but you have to request access to it. More information can be found here: https://community.developer.atlassian.com/t/guidelines-for-requesting-access-to-email-address/27603 Cheers, Sven

Hi @Vlado, Sure! With just about every theming app out there your changes should stay set when updating Confluence. If your settings are deleted after a Confluence upgrade that likely means something went wrong with the upgrade itself (and other data / settings are probably missing too). Cheers, Sven
-
Hi @Vlado, I think @Bibek_ikuTeam_ is right. You won't get far with Vanilla Confluence options. But if you're open to using apps from the Marketplace, there's solutions to what you want: For hiding parts of the UI I can recommend you our app HideElements for Confluence. With it you can hide things globally, per space or…

Hi @Kathryn Reddie, I'm one of the developers of the Lively Blogs for Confluence app and I have seen this problem in the past in our app as well. Some of our customers reported that the sorting of blog posts only accounted for the day of the blog post, but not the hour & minute. This was because we were using the…

Hi Roja, The best way to get rid of this warning would be to update your Confluence to a version that has not reached end of life! But if you need to stay on your EOL version, you might find this Community answer helpful. Cheers, Sven

You will receive a notification when there's a new version of the page you're watching. Since the macro is embedding dynamic content, the content can change without new page versions being created. This means you will not be notified if you only watch the page that the macro is in. If you want to be notified about new blog…

It looks like there are some errors thrown by Scroll Viewport (both in Chrome & IE11): Maybe these errors are just too much for ye olde IE to handle. I've submitted a support request with K15t to let them know. For now you should probably just use Chrome instead. (Well, not only for now - but probably you should ditch IE11…
-
Hi @Rufus John, I don't think that what you are asking for is possible with Vanilla Confluence. However, you might be interested in our app Lively Blogs for Confluence, which might offer a solution to your problem. In Lively Blogs you can set up categories for your Blog Posts. Each category has a name and a color. You can…
-
Hi Roberto, since you also raised a support ticket we'll talk there! :) Cheers, Sven
-
Hi @Tom Svaleklev, As far as I know this is not so easy with vanilla Confluence. I think the only way would be to have the supposed author copy/paste the content into a new blog post every time from the original page. However, with our app Lively Blogs for Confluence there is a better way: Here I have a page that was…

Hi @Bonnie Barron, normal users have the ability to view group members using the User List macro. This is what it looks like: Cheers, Sven
