Could it be that these pages still are on the legacy editor? Because the slash-command is only available in the new editor. If your pages do indeed still have the old editor, you can see here for how to convert them:…

Hey @[deleted], if you don't want to create accounts for these users I don't think there is any standard Confluence functionality that can help you here. (Except maybe making the whole space publicly accessible, but that's probably not what you want.) However, there is an app on the Marketplace that could very well do what…

Hi Jon, looks like "ctrl + shift + arrows" has changed to "ctrl + alt + arrows". But it looks like the shortcut for deleting rows has gone away indeed. Cheers, Sven

Hi @Ahmad Raza, sounds really like PocketQuery would exactly do what you need. There definitely isn't a standard Confluence macro that does anything like that. You will need some kind of Marketplace App or code a User Macro or Custom Plugin yourself. Bonus: You can also use PocketQuery to connect to JDBC databases and…

Ah, alright, didn't see your second answer before I wrote my last comment. If you think the question is answered you can mark it as resolved. Cheers! :)

Well, depends on what DBMS you're actually using! ;) But really, depending on your OS, you should probably use a client like HeidiSQL oder DBeaver instead, especially if you're planning for this to just be a one-time thing.

This article should help you find it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-find-confluence-s-database-connection-parameters-779172320.html

You're not alone with that feeling. You should probably check out the Confluence Cloud Editor Roadmap to see what other differences there are. The new editor is quite different from the old one. There you will also find that this is indeed intentional and that a fix for this is in the "long-term backlog": This is the…

Hi @john.duchock, what type of database is your Confluence running on? (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) You should be able to connect directly to your database using a client for your DBMS. Cheers, Sven

Hi @Anuja Deshpande, have you tried this: https://your-domain.atlassian.net/wiki/rest/api/content/search?cql=watcher=currentUser() EDIT: Oh, this returns all pages the user is watching, not all spaces. I'm not sure whether you can actually get all watched spaces directly. But maybe you can use the result of this CQL, to…

Hi @dave.purrington, In the new editor the "/" shortcut has replaced "{" and "[". Of course the cmd/ctrl+k shortcut still works as well. You are right that you can only search for recently viewed pages in the menu that opens when you insert a link. Regarding whether you can get back the old editor: As Atlassian is…

Hmmm... I'm not 100% percent sure I fully understand what you want to do yet, but it does sound like our app PocketQuery could be the solution to your problem. (You didn't say whether you're on Server or Cloud - if you're on Cloud you can pretty much stop reading here, because it's not available there yet) With PocketQuery…

Neither Cloud or Server are clearly just better. It always depends on what you need and how you want to use the product. As @Lenin Raj already mentioned, Cloud requires no maintenance and infrastructure which is especially nice if you're a small team. Server on the other hand gives you a lot more freedom to implement…

I have once found and reported a rather critical security hole (P2) and reported it via the Atlassian Bug Crowd campaign. It was trialed and recognized within a single day and the hole was fixed shortly after. Great experience, can only recommend!

I think you are right. There's a lot of potential value in Page Properties that can currently not be utilized... I remember that some time ago we had a similar use case. So we built a plugin for ourselves, as we wanted to be able to use the values of our Page Properties directly inside (inline) of our text. Meaning, we…

(EDIT: I actually completely misunderstood your use case! So I removed the first part of my comment.) I also like your solution since people that already have Script Runner won't need an extra app! :) Cheers, Sven

Hi Jake, * Upload your attachment to the page. * Go to the Attachments view of the page. * Right click on the attachment and copy the link to. * Insert the link into a page like you would insert any other link. Hope this helps! :) Cheers, Sven

Hi Ahmad, I'm not quite sure I understand your question correctly. Do you have data somewhere (e.g. in a Database or accessible via REST) and want to display it in a Confluence page as a table? Or do you want just a static table? Maybe you could give an example of what you mean. :) Also: are you on Server or Cloud? Cheers,…
-
Sure. You have full control of the HTML, you can do whatever you want. ;) ## @param Name:title=Name|type=string|desc=Your name|hidden=true <form action="mailto:no-one@snai1mai1.com?subject=$content.getTitle()"> <button class="aui-button aui-button-primary" type="submit">Contact Us</a> </form>

The really important parts are the annotations of the method: @POST @Produces({MediaType.APPLICATION_JSON}) @Path("/page/{pageId}/table/{tableId}/item/{itemId}") This tells you that the method will accept HTTP POST requests, that it will be accessible via the URL specified in the Path annotation and that it will return…

If you can't get much out of the documentation it might be best for you to just look at a working example. There are Marketplace Vendors that open source their apps, such as TNG with their Multivote for Confluence app. Since a vote macro is more or less just a button that makes a REST request this might be an excellent…
-
Sorry, this wasn't clear to me from your question. This can be done with a simple user macro: ## @param Name:title=unused|type=string|desc=unused|hidden=true <a href="mailto:no-one@snai1mai1.com?subject=$content.getTitle()">Contact Us</a> Best regards, Sven

The answer by @DPKJ is pretty much the same solution as what I have suggested, except that in this case the Python code is executed on the same machine as Confluence, whereas in my example the Python code is executed on another machine. Both solutions have advantages and disadvantages, so here's a short list to help you…

Hi @Bernd Steffens, I have a python script that collects data from different sources and creates a pdf file afterwards, like an evaluation. Is it possible to do this on a created confluence page? My idea was to create a macro, this macro has a button and on click this button starts the python script and the page shows the…

Hi @Nour Durra Nagarro, you can indeed set the subject. You can even set a body, CC, or BCC. Example: See this link for more info. Best regards, Sven

Hi Björn, the page is part of the ConversionContext: public String execute(Map<String, String> parameters, String body, ConversionContext context) { ContentEntityObject page = context.getEntity(); } However, for app development related questions you should probably check out the Developer Community instead. ;) Best…

Awesome to hear that! If you have any questions about it you can always raise a support ticket at our HelpDesk! :) Best regards, Sven

I don't think there's any way to do this except for taking away their access rights completely. As long as they have read access they could always make a copy for themselves, one way or another.
-
Hi @Teresa Schroat, the short answer is: this probably shouldn't be a problem. the long answer is: it depends on your DBMS and how it is actually queried. Typically, queries are wrapped in Database Transactions. Transactions can be of different types such as read-only, read-write, and so on. The DBMS figures out how it has…

I think the only workaround is currently: * Find a page that still has the old editor. * Make a copy. * Use the copy as your new page. I believe in the past you could choose to use the old editor in the page creation screen, but it looks like it's not showing up for me anymore:
