Hi @chandra bhushan Why don't you create a single project and anyhow we can configure different workflow/process with different Issue type and the screen scheme as well. Configure one email handler with different issue type as they have followed different process/workflow so whenever email triggers the mail handler will…

Hi @Andreas Moormann Issue security level can be applied to Issues of that project. For more information please have a look at this article.

ok. click on windows button and search for services.msc and see the status of jira application and try to restart it again.
-
Ok, then check if the jira server has been started or not? if yes, then while starting the jira itself it will show you the access URL. How has jira server been installed service or without service? on which OS you have been hosted jira application server?
-
Hi @Avvaru Harish If you have installed/self hosted jira server on your local machine then you can access it using http://hostname:port_number Ex : http://localhost:8080

Hi @chandra bhushan Let me know why you are creating two different projects? Is there a different data and process for each project.
-
Hi @Ian Carson, Have you checked that clicking on the top right corner ... and see what options you will get. If it is not showing then try to contact your administrator and check is you have the Edit issue permission of this project or not.
-
Hi @Ian Carson, Can you please attach the screenshot for the same. Another way is To Search for issues --> select the issue that you want to Edit and then click on top right side Bulk Change choose the Edit operation and Edit the Issue type. For this you should have Bulk change global permission and Edit issue permission.

HI @Ian Carson, Which hosting type you are using? To edit an issue, you need the Edit Issue project permission for that project. If you do not have this permission, please contact your administrator.

Hi @chandra bhushan, please let me know how the customer/sender will know the project key to write on the subject? Using "Create a new issue or add a comment to an existing issue", it will add the comment to an existing ticket but it will not create a new ticket if the subject contains an issue key/project key.
-
Hi @Krishna, Actually, whenever we are creating a request type in jiraservice desk we need to map the request type with Issue type. Whenever Customer will visit your Customer portal where they will be able to see the request type and they have to select the appropriate request type and need to create the ticket.
-
HI @Andreas Moormann, See the creating duplicate tickets only for unshare the attachments of it, this will not be the correct way. It will unnecessarily occupy the space/memory on the server and while fetching report you will be missed up. one more thing is you can do in this way, anyhow you will create a different project…

Hi @Chris Hohl, Project administrators can customize their projects, add and remove users, and they can perform certain configuration tasks. Are you not able to edit the Issue Itself? If yes, then please check if you have Edit issue permission or you can contact your jira admin for this.
-
Sorry, Only attachments we can not restrict, It will restrict whole ticket details i mean the ticket itself can not able to see the people/customer those do not belong security level.
-
Hi @Andreas Moormann, Yes, you can restrict them from seeing the tickets from one to another. In jira using Issue security Level concept, you can achieve this.
