Perhaps the person's manager can receive their work email?
-
Interesting. Checking the Lucene generated by the sprints functions I note that they find all open sprint ids then check for any issue with one of those sprint ids. But I would have expected the ORDER BY to do the right thing
-
More seriously, repeating patterns and habits in my life have been a concern since I was a small child. So I make an effort to just do things different ways, to try and hold OCD back. It doesn't address underlying stuff, but it is a good idea to shake ourselves up occasionally

If you shave with a blade, try using your other hand. Wakes you up fast!
-
Yeah. "Target Date"
-
We do quarterly reviews of our 4 node Jira Software Data Center instance. This is from the latest review. Most of the traffic is from hundreds of services, not people. Performance is ok generally.
-
And I think that you can't modify the default field configuration in groovy?
-
The original post is about the field description in a field configuration. The first reply was about changing the custom field description, which is related but different
-
Right. From our experiences, it will work then break at some point and be more effort to fix it. Separate projects for different access permissions is the way to go
-
I think I would question hard why the extra layer is needed, and how it makes your organization more profitable. Get to the basics!
-
That's one to test in staging Jira for sure. I think that the Parent Link field only works for parents that are Initiative but I might be wrong
-
And the account used may need to have the Modify Reporter permission in that project
-
So this is a company-managed project in Jira Cloud? Worth checking the field configuration doesn't have the Reporter field hidden for some odd reason
-
I use the ScriptRunner built-in script to do this https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/latest/features/built-in-scripts/bulk-import-custom-field-values
-
If you sort by asc you will see the least used issue types
-
I'd start small with something such as MySQL [jiradb]> select issuetype, count(issuetype) from jiraissue group by issuetype order by count(*) desc limit 10; which shows which issue types are used most
-
Have you seen any differences in using the various Python libraries to work with the Atlassian REST APIs, particularly for Jira?
-
Depends how your Jira is set up to get the users. For example, with Jira Data Center and an Active Directory user directory, the emails should just change. Testing in a non-production instance is the right thing to do
-
Inactive users don't count towards your license count. Deleting them will mess up your Jira history, so don't do that. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/get-list-of-licensed-users-in-jira-server-278695452.html is this is on-prem

I still rate trees I see based on how climbable they are. And it's been a while since I climbed a tree :)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boab_Prison_Tree,_Derby in NW Australia. I visited as a young man and it always stuck in my mind. So odd!

Accessibility guidelines recommend not using color alone to convey information. Add a shape to the icons perhaps? The 8.5% of men who are color blind will thank you!
-
Do you mean Jira projects (which often don't end) or some other kind of project?
-
Good ways of looking at requests, those! I also consider 1. The amount of future work that will be needed to maintain the customization, particularly automation and scripts. 2. Will the approach scale if we have 5x of everything in a few years 3. Do I have somewhere to record our chosen approach to this kind of request,…
-
If this plugin also allowed adding patterns to issues, it would be helpful for the 8% of colorblind people as well.
-
“inward” link is alphabetically before the description of the “outward” link - that is very smart!
-
Perhaps with some javascript hackery, but not as a standard Jira feature If you do find a way to do this, please don't use red. 1 in 12 colorblind men will thank you for that.
-
I ignore "boards in this project" and use Add Link to add a link to boards we care about in Project Shortcuts https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-16717 has some steps to disable "boards in this project"
-
Seems to no longer work? https://community.atlassian.com/tnckb94959/rss/Category?category.id=datacenter doesn't work in the Inoreader RSS reader I also tried appending this &interaction.style=qanda but no joy
