Yeah, but I call them plugins and people seem to understand :) Plugins, add-ons, addons, apps ... all confusing
-
Good idea. The backups happen every 24 hours I believe
-
Probably not. If the in-memory data was not persisted to the disk when the process fell over, it's gone. Your next step is to use a real database, even for the evaluation process
-
Those skills skipped my generation, but my teenager did plant kangaroo paws in a spot just outside our kitchen. For a consideration towards his electric skateboard rebuild of course :)

Which plugin is this for? If it is this one I would contact the vendor and ask why they have no documentation for their plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217836/microsoft-teams-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=support

Well, I try to avoid guilt at most levels. Either I just do it, or I know that I'll feel bad about it and I don't do it. But I have some pleasures that I think are not approved of by some people: alcohol, fine cigars, good meat, really smelly cheeses. Life is short.

Very useful, thank you! For us, JSU is the major plugin for workflows (148), followed by ScriptRunner and JMWE For custom field types, we have 4 from custom plugins and 4 from ScriptRunner scripted fields. The first query needed a tweak for MySQL, changing "count (b.id)" to "count(b.id)"

Thanks, that was helpful

Well-explained! And I like the linked talk by Ahmad too. Two questions I get asked that I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on are: 1. What would you say to people who say they want to order their issues on their board by Priority instead of Rank? 2. And what about people who ask you to put the Rank field on their…
-
That's probably easier to do outside an agile board, in the regular Issue Navigator where you search for issues. Then you can just do: order by mycustomfield desc
-
That's a lot of tools! Any chance you could group them by function too? And which ones do you personally use?
-
Yes. I'm nearly there, just wrestling with displaying the comment date in the user's timezone.
-
There are some features such as SAML in Jira Data Center that by default don't show exceptions in error pages unless configured to do so. But in general most Jira features show the exception to the user, though it may be hidden behind a "click for more info" link. So in general I don't think there is a way to hide that…

Portfolio for Jira, or Structure plugins probably are of interest
-
Rich, I'm going to use ScriptRunner to create a scripted field to show the Last Comment. Did you find a different work around? ~Matt

As Mike pointed out, he must be a good actor
-
Mr. Collins of Pride and Prejudice, the wet shirt version. I saw the actor in something else a few weeks ago and he still made me feel slimy
-
Take a look at the Timetracking field. It's a combo of Original Estimate and Current Estimate fields
-
What about differences between the users?
-
Due Date is controlled by the Schedule permission. Atlassian's official approach is to put the other fields on a transition screen not on the main Edit screen, and update them like that. A more intuitive approach is to use the ScriptRunner Behaviors (Adaptavist) to make fields read-only as needed.
-
Possibly, using ScriptRunner behaviors. But not out of the box I think. Doing it with little droppings of JavaScript in different parts of Jira gets very hard to maintain, so I don't recommend that approach
-
Make sure the board filter ends in ORDER BY RANK And the board configuration says "Using Rank" Then you can drag issues up and down in the columns to sort them
-
Perhaps with a ScriptRunner web fragment, or some specific JavaScript. Perhaps the question I should ask is: why?

Handy info about the real problem at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-72434?focusedCommentId=2359962&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-2359962

Also a handy JQL for finding issues with problems is statusCategory != Done and resolution is not empty Another useful query to track the opposite problem is statusCategory = Done and resolution is empty
-
The system field is Resolution, but some places in the UI refer to Resolved meaning the last date the Resolution was set. Resolved is also once of the standard statuses. Confusing? Yup! But add a post function to all transitions out of Closed/Done that clears the system Resolution field and this won't happen again As Mike…
-
Hey Roi, this feature is driving our next update of Portfolio, so thanks!
-
Probably a custom condition on two transitions. One for a certain vote value, another for another non-overlapping vote value, e.g. votes < 10 votes >= 10 Then only one transition will be offered to the user. You choose the target status for each transition

Which means that if you have default priority with a white color, you will not see a box in the calendar gadget
