@Michiel Schuijer - I think other Community members will have more direct experience and lessons learned to share. But in the meantime, check out some of the info found here: https://www.atlassian.com/migration/assess/why-cloud. It might be a good first step if you haven't seen this already.

Your son's progress coupled with your support is so heartening to hear! But more importantly, the road you took to get there came from a place of empathy and optimizing for your son's energy versus force-fitting an outcome. In addition to your very relevant lesson on trust, I think your story shows that the behavior we…

Interesting, @grao. Whether it's Confluence, another digital tool, or even the old printed memo or notes on a physical piece of paper, how do your teams document lessons learned?
-
First of all, I'm sorry that the direction in energy changed, but it's good to hear that you continue to invest in options for your son. Truly, sometimes the willingness to keep trying new things is sometimes the harder set of actions than when things are more stable. Thank you for continuing to be vulnerable with…

Happy new year to you as well @Tushita Sarkar Biswas! Happy to your participation in the hackathon. I think there's a lot to be learned from "doing" things in addition to the "debriefing" that happens among teammates and forums like this group. Looking forward to hearing any lessons learned from all that you participate in…

Amazing, @A A Ron Geister _Trundl_. This group definitely shares content to improve individual approaches to work as much as it promotes different ways of working for teams. Looking forward to seeing your notes in the group posts :)

Big fan of using time off as an example of investing in individuals, team culture, and attraction for future candidates. It goes beyond immediate benefits. Speaking of PTO, I just took some and played hide and go seek with kids who thought they were a little better at hiding than they actually were lol.

Well that's safe multitasking I can get behind!
-
Love to hear it. Meetings just for updates be gone ;)
-
Thank you for writing this @Peter Van de Voorde! It's so nice to hear a reflection over a long period of time, across multiple companies, because that's truly a glimpse for us readers into an experience we won't be able to have. At least not in the short run ;) And yes, I think we all need to find boundaries. For me, I…

There are backgrounds on your monitors/screens and then there are backgrounds in real life. Love that you have variety on both :)

Your acknowledgement of this being a slow and steady race really resonates with me, @Floris van Himbergen. My physical therapist has reinforced that body movement normalization and building strength are best chipped at little by little. In fact, they have reminded me that using a lot of force on the body is not a shortcut…

Totally. This challenge was more for folks who say sorry reflexively as opposed to feeling accountable. But if a mistake was made, absolutely agree that both are a good combo.
-
Yes! Double use of something already in your life and a change of environment for a change in mindset. Thanks for sharing :)
-
Hi @Opher Lichter I can't give you hard numbers, but I am able to say that the majority of people got passed the cursory steps and slowed down at the rehearsal part. Some folks have finished but really, the bulk of folks are still nervous about either facilitating a sample Play with a real team or recording themselves as…

Sounds like you're aware of both your limiting belief AND why that doesn't need to be your belief. Well done :)

Love to hear it!

Ooh I like the idea of providing feedback in a separate platform so that there isn’t as much in-the-moment feedback.
-
The neverending growth checklist is, as you mentioned, @Marta Woźniak-Semeniuk, exhausting and detracts from the benefits of learning. What happens if you flip it? I know some people (myself included during certain phases of my life) where skipping a day of exercise would make me feel like I was behind. So I flipped it…

Noting the way you started this response, @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-. (I see what you--I think intentionally?-- did there 😉). The challenge description did include adding appreciation on to an apology if the apology itself was warranted and felt. So I think you're right in that a full replacement doesn't always work if the…

Nailed it!

Ooh I like!!! I think we should do a round two of new practice challenges to do as a group. If it happens, maybe the organizer (whether me or someone else) crowdsources ideas, and at the same time, asks for demos! Could also be good to have demo variations alongside the challenge.
-
Love it, @Benjamin. The ProTips we pick up often stay just with us. So this knowledge-share of personal hacks is awesome, and what better way to share than through documentation?
-
Model example of using multiple tools in the role they're best suited--from pulling insights to documenting work. Thanks for sharing your specific team's artifacts with us!
-
Happy to hear, @Taranjeet Singh ! As for canceling meetings, if you're not the meeting owner, I'm not sure you can cancel the meetings. But, you might be able to decline (RSVP as "no") the meeting. Would that be possible? Or on most calendar clients, clicking on a meeting and then hitting a "delete button" in a popup could…

I like a good debriefing session, @G subramanyam! In this case, I like that yours was specific to your team (as opposed to the standard attributes in Atlassian's Health Monitor. Was this team health report documented in a way that is unusual for the team? Week 4's challenge was to see if we could document an observation or…
-
Exactly what @Walter Buggenhout said :) We no longer have printed versions to give away, but the digital cards are sized so that if you want to print them, you can!
-
Yes, love to hear it, @Lauren Allen!

These sound like you documented some working agreements. I wonder if other folks will add on or comment on the Confluence page. Because by simply sharing, you're not only spreading awareness, but also inviting conversation.
