We use jira server and and comment in german with ä,ö,ü maybe your SQL DB is configured in another laguage that does not support unicode

you can search the atlassian marketplace for addons with a table feature + free addons https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?moreFilters=free&query=table Or you can create+save a JQL search and list this in the dashboard. But it would look like JQL search and not like a table in your form.
