Added to my colleague's update, if you have hosted Bamboo on AWS, you may also use our Bamboo Server EC2 Wizard. This will get your Bamboo server up and running in AWS in less than 10 minutes. You can get this jar file and automate the entire configuration. In short, to run the wizard, you will just have to execute: java…

I found this being the right URL. https://confluence.atlassian.com/bamboo/integrating-builds-with-your-issues-workflow-750396089.html. Did you find this referenced somewhere in the documentation?

Hi Rohit, Looking at the error, it looks like you have issues with your dependencies that is unrelated to Bamboo. Failed to execute goal on project cs-monitor-p: Could not resolve dependencies for project com.mycompany:cs-monitor-p:mule:1.0.0-SNAPSHOT: The following artifacts could not be resolved:…

Hi Monica, If your intention is to modify the content of your Bamboo notifications that sends email updates upon build success/failure, you can do so for each of the notification types as below. The notification templates reside in WEB-INF/classes/notification-templates/ All you need to do is to copy the respective…

we need a way to update a value in there as part of the build process I do not know much about the package you are referring to. But if your intention is to pass a variable during the build process, it is possible with Variables. You either use Inject variable plugin so that you can inject new Bamboo variables from a file…

If you are referring to starting Linux as a service, you will have to create one manually and this is explained in this page. Three steps slightly varies based on the distro you're using.

Hi Luis, The latest version of Bamboo 6.6.1 supports Java 1.8. You can check the supported platforms here. Thus, you may have to use Java 1.8 for Bamboo to start successfully. Hope that helps. Cheers, Jey

Sure. You may check for existing feature requests and create one if need be here: https://jira.atlassian.com/projects/CLOV/issues/

There isn't an option to display the agent logs from the agent in the UI. Did you get any hint in the agent logs? * <bamboo-agent-home>/logs/atlassian-bamboo.log * <bamboo-agent-log>/atlassian-bamboo-agent.log? It should tell you what happened when the build logs stopped displaying in the build summary page.

Okay, and where do you need our help, Animesh? If your issue is that you get invalid username and password, it is likely that you missed to use the right credentials when you define a repository.

Hi Joni, If you are using Amazon EC2, there is an easy installer wizard that you can use to upgrade seamlessly like explained in this page. To run the wizard, execute: java -jar bamboo-server-ec2-wizard.jar To upgrade, upgradeBamboo.sh latest That said, we do provide access to direct download link to all the versions here…

I am looking for best way to setup Bamboo jobs using ANT for salesforce deployment. It looks like we can set this deployment via command prompt. You can automate the same in Bamboo with a Script task. @Animesh884 For us to help you, please help us by giving as much information as possible.

Hi Nasir, Your issue might need further investigation from our support side. You can, however, find the examples to work with Docker in our documentation here (you need to alter the URL to match your Bamboo version). Hope that helps.

Hi Rafa, You will have to define a linked repository manually in the UI and there is no option to discover and auto-add a repository to Bamboo automatically. As of now, it is only possible to create a plan branch soon after a new branch is discovered in your repository. But, I understand this is not what your requirement…
-
Hi Mathew, Did you try running the same in the respective Bamboo agent's command prompt (outside Bamboo)? If you experience same slowness, it is likely that the issue is not on the Bamboo side.
-
Hi Patrick, If the platform meets the requirement, running Bamboo shouldn't be an issue. Setting up a Bamboo instance just needs JDK and a supported database. You may just follow the usual installation documentation to install in Azure VM. If you are looking to deploy your plans to Azure, there is a feature request…

If you're using Crowd for user management, you may have to upgrade to 6.5 first and then to 6.6 due to this bug BAM-19965 that was reported recently.
-
Agreed. This bug should be fixed soon in the upcoming release. Thanks for clarifying @Miroslav Sommer.

Hi Cheryl, Can you access the build log? What does it say? Also, did you try running the same selenium build operation outside Bamboo from the remote agent? If it hangs there as well, the issue is not on Bamboo side and you'll have to investigate what's happening on the selenium side. If it hangs on the Bamboo side and you…

If your build progress page keeps refreshing, it could be due to multiple reasons. Your catalina.out or atlassian-bamboo.log should tell you what's going on. From my experience, I've seen it happening when an apparent deadlock is caused by Bamboo that is unable to acquire new database connections. In other words, the…

You do not need a permission to trigger a scan. All you need to do is to use the appropriate REST API to trigger specs scanning. For Eg: You can use a curl URL like below to trigger a scan as the destination for the webhook so that Bamboo knows about new commits: curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json"…

Hi @Eduard Babayan and @Omar Herrera, I have created a feature request here - BAM-19918. Please feel free to upvote and leave your comments there.

In that case, you will have to contact the server administrator to monitor what is happening when this build is executed on the server. You can suggest the administrator to execute the respective commands on the same Agent's server outside Bamboo (in a command prompt). It is sufficient to inspect just the respective…

The error means that you've hit one of the limits that govern shared memory allocation. Are you able to reproduce this issue from the commandline? Check if this post helps troubleshooting further.

Hi Greeshma, It is not necessary to set this variable manually, as it is initialized by the startup scripts automatically. Did you follow the installation instruction correctly and run bin\start-bamboo.bat to start the service? If you do want to set it though it should be the same as the <Bamboo install directory> For…

Have you followed the documentation? The Server ID should indeed be there in the same page during your installation.

Hi Branislav, Bamboo does not provide the REST end point to create a new linked repository (yet as of Bamboo 6.4.1). I found an open feature request for this - BAM-18453 I encourage you vote for it and comment to get it prioritised.

Hi Stefan, I believe Git LFS is installed on both Server and on the agent side. Can you check if the Git checkout command with the same local account works outside? I ask this because there was a bug (BAM-18339) in Bamboo 5.15.x where GIT LFS doesn't work correctly if 'Fetch whole repository' option is set in the linked…
-
Hi Nishanth, Checking out multiple parts of the same repository is possible. All you need to do is to define multiple linked repositories for different branches. In your case, you can create a linked repository for repo/branches/proj1/ and one for repo/trunk/library/. Now, you can define multiple repositories in the same…

Hi Lance, Can you try disabling Use shallow clone in the respective linked repository? (And clear fit cache under *Overview -> Repository settings*) It appears like the checkout of a specific revision is failing and I suspect it could be due to the shallow clone with depth=1 because the checkout seem to happen when it is…
