  • Hi, Did you mean that you wanted to Inject new Bamboo variables from your script file directly instead of Inject Bamboo variables task that wants a properties file location? If your requirement is to just use variables within a script, how about using just the environment variables of your operating system?
  • Hi, Bamboo generally checks Maven return code and searches the log for BUILD SUCCESS message if you have checked the option Use Maven return code in Maven task under Advanced options section. Did you check the Build logs? In that, if you see BUILD SUCCESS message somewhere just above the last 250 lines, you can just…
  • Upon Googling, I found this discussion mentioning that it could be due to windows restriction of not being able to run GUI apps if the parent process is a service. If you are running Bamboo as a service, can you add InteractWithDesktop ability to your Bamboo service account and see if it helps?
  • How about using an ssh task in Bamboo to login to your Windows machine and execute your batch script from cmd prompt? Note that you will have to install SSH server on your machine, so that Bamboo can ssh into your machine. Latest version of Windows now comes with SSH server by default. Hope that helps.
  • I see Cucumber for Bamboo add-on is responsible for just that. Upon installing, you can create a task and test Builds and Deployments. As this add-on is not from Atlassian and doesn't support Bamboo 6.1.x yet, I recommend you to contact the vendor here to update it. In the mean time, you can do either of the below. * If…
  • Hi Maxim, I just tested and found that you can only enter a relative path and navigate within the build directory and never outside a build directory. Eg. When you enter test-results/*.xml , it looks for xml files under your build directory /home/bamboo/bamboo-agent-home/xml-data/build-dir/WEB6-W6IT0-BH/test-results So,…
  • Don't you have a gear like icon in the top right corner? Please share with us a screenshot. You can also go directly by accessing this URL https://your-bamboo-url:8085/admin/systemInfo.action
  • Hi, Did you mean this page? Cog icon-> Overview -> System Information under System section in your Bamboo administration page
  • It is a fairly complicated task. You can listen to the SQL query that it generates by enabling this page - How to Enable Detailed SQL Logging. (there will be a lot of noise though) If you have a valid license, you can download the source code and review the corresponding class by yourself or raise a support ticket with us.…
  • Hi Maxim, By default, files created before the current build will be analysed. As you want to set test results outside the build directory, you will have to enable "Pick up test results that were created outside of this build" under Advanced options in your JUnit Parser task.
  •  Looking at the error, the npm task is telling us that the directories does not exist. Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The working directory must exist before executing the process You may have to add a script task to create directories before running npm install task runs. Also, are you able to run npm…
  • Did you mean to deploy the artifacts to Amazon S3? All you need to do is to use a Script task at the end of your build plan and archive the generated build artifacts using AWS CLI. This Bamboo Knowledgebase might come handy for setting up the same.
  • Hi Justin, I see you have just shared the last few lines of the build log. You may have to check few lines above and see if all the tasks got executed successfully (with exit 0, as Bamboo just looks for exit code and decides if the build has to be a success or failure). Then, compare the same with the build log from your…
  • Hi Justin, What do you see in the build log and in atlassian-bamboo-agent.log when you run from the remote agent? I hope that gives you a hint on what's happening. Also, to confirm things, I would just run the same build manually from the remote agent machine and see if it executes successfully.
  • Hi Adam, There can be multiple reasons behind this. Did you check the bamboo logs to understand what's happening there (start with catalina.out).
  • As this is not an Atlassian add-on, I recommend you to contact the vendor that is responsible for updating this to support the latest version of Bamboo. You can find their contact details here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.pluginsawesome.bamboo.rally-connector/server/support
  • Hi, This log line is shown when the agent is checking the server for new builds. Your agent is already ready to pick up builds from the queue. If you have the right capability to build a plan, it should just pick from the queue and run it. How did you start the remote agent? Did you start the remote agent like below? java…
  • Are you sure that you have defined the Java capability on your agent? Defining a new JDK capability
  • Hi Kishore, If your question is just about how to upload files from Bamboo directly to a remote server as part of a Bamboo job, just use the SCP task in Bamboo. Hope that helps.
  • Looks like a Selenium issue than a Bamboo issue. * Have you run these tests successfully in the past? * Also, does it run outside Bamboo? * This issue reported in Selenium forum looks relevant to yours - https://github.com/SeleniumHQ/selenium/issues/2677.
  • With the limited information you have provided, it looks like you have missed configuring a separate chromedriver server to render web pages in Bamboo. Check in the executables section if you have configured the executable properly.
  • From your input, it sounds like you stumbled onto this bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-16341 The theory is that the plan branch you are referring to has probably been removed in the past as part of the plan branch cleanup process in Bamboo and you are now trying to re-create it, but there's a problem with doing…
  • Looking at the error message, I see there is a bug in Bamboo and it is tracked here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BAM-18359 The functionality to change the overriding repository is broken at the moment. The bug will be fixed according to our Bugfix Policy. The workaround would be to disable and enable the overriding…
  • Did you mean that you cannot list any repositories after integrating with your new Bitbucket server? Generally, when you've changed anything in your environment, it's best to recreate the application link in both bamboo and bitbucket side. Could you please try the same? This Troubleshooting guide might come handy. Also,…
  • To create a custom script task, you can just follow the plugin development tutorial on How to write a task in Bamboo and place your code inside it.
  • Check if Overview -> Agent matrix page lists the agents that can build jobs of the respective plan. If not, there is something wrong with defining capability. Look at the logs for hints. This KB might help you in troubleshooting further.
  • You can share artifacts between different build plans. You just need to use the 'Artifact downloader task' to do so. More details can be found in the Sharing artifacts documentation. Hope that helps.
  • Agents are supposed to continue to attempt to connect to the server in case it is offline until a certain limit is reached (which is very long). However, unfortunately, there was a bug in Bamboo that caused agents to stay offline if the server went offline until they were restarted. I'm not sure which version of Bamboo you…
  • Hi Sadasivaiah, I'm not an angular expert. But looking at the documentation, it looks like we can just use a Script task to build an angular project. Hope that helps.
  • Hi Anna, I don't know what went wrong with that program. We would need more info on that. But how about using REST API to trigger a plan? In my Bamboo 5.15, I was able to trigger a test plan by just running a curl command like below. curl --user username:password -X…
