Thanks for writing this up @Karen_Mustain! I 100% agree with every single one, and particularly love the templates tip. We're adding new ones soon so be on the lookout!

Hi @Chris Nicosia! I'm on the Confluence marketing team, nice to meet you! (warning this comment will be long, but hopefully helpful!) For fun templates, you can take a look at these two posts and see if anything pops out, but definitely let me know if you have specific use cases in mind and I can try share some ideas: *…

Hi @Varsha Kumari! Along with Johan's great suggestion, I've also provided you some best practice links from Atlassian and some of our Community champions - all on best practices around Confluence! Hope they help! Atlassian 101 Guides: * Organize your work in spaces * Create content with pages * Discussing work with your…

Hi @Ghassan Hariz! As George mentioned, you can edit an existing blueprint if you have admin permissions in the space you want to modify it in, or the whole Confluence site. If you have admin permissions, you go to settings > content tools > and simply click edit next to the Requirements template you want to edit. More…

@barnesy!! Long time indeed - happy new year! I'm working with playbook team to figure out why they've gone missing from Marketplace - will follow up once I find out. DACI is being built for cloud right now though, so you should see it come through in a week or so. Hope you've been well! We miss ya over here!

Hi @Gil - @Johan Soetens _Dumblefy_ is correct. Even if you have chosen different Space templates (knowledge base, project space, etc.), you are still able to access all native Confluence templates when you create a page, regardless of which space you are in.

Hi @Colin Maxwell! The avatar is what we call a profile picture, and you can add it when you're in edit mode (click on edit in the upper right hand corner of the page, or hit 'e' on your keyboard). Once you're in the editor you'll see the toolbar at the top, click on the + sign (insert menu) > Other Macros > search for…

Got it - so it looks like there may be a mix of docs that are just relevant to your team and some that are relevant to your customers/employees (whoever your users are)? If you have docs that are being written to be consumed by those outside your team then I'd create a space specifically for those docs. For example, we…
-
Hi @Karen O'Keefe ! Would love to help. Can you tell me what kind of documentation you're trying to manage (i.e project documentation, team documentation, HR stuff, etc.)?
-
Hi @Kit (Contractor) Dwyer! @Kalos Bonasia is correct - the DACI helps define roles when beginning a project or making a decision. The Decision page, is an outline to help you record the outcome of decisions (we are actually making updates to this template soon to make it more useful). If it helps, the way we tend to use…

@Thomas Bowskill - Glad to hear it has been progressing well! I hear you on the structured data, and we are always making efforts to improve search so I'll definitely pass on this feedback to our product team (hopefully Insight can help in the meantime!). Yes keep me updated on the response - would love to hear more about…

Hi @Elle Reyes - sorry, I realized I never responded to this but the Jira team just launched some new guides that may help with setup if you're still interested. - https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/guides

Hi @[deleted]! Awesome! I do content and blog writing as well and use Confluence in the same way for this process. We'll be coming out with a very simple blog template soon, that looks similar to this screenshot below: To help with workflow if you don't end up using Jira is either using Trello and linking to Confluence…

hey @Sunil Chowdary! this isn't exactly a test plan, but I wonder if the project plan template within Confluence could help structure, and you can modify the fields to what you need? It's only available in Cloud, however you could build the same template in Server.
-
Hi @Rob Fea! sorry this is late, but potentially the users on this thread can help you - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-discussions/JIRA-Service-Desk-Confluence-Knowledge-Base-Optimization/td-p/914414

Hi @Elle Belle! I'm on the Confluence Cloud marketing team, nice to meet you :) Purely for my learning of how our customers are using and evaluating Confluence, do you mind explaining the reasoning behind getting another instance, instead of choosing to add to your existing instance (i.e Is it due to number of users, use…

Thanks for the feedback @Anselmo!

Hi @Thomas Bowskill! I love how you're setting up Confluence - it sounds like how we use it at Atlassian! As I'm a month or so late to your post, I'd love to hear how it has been progressing? Is it being used across your firm or just within specific teams? In regards to data being structured, can you give me some specific…
-
@Michele Kelly I know I'm late to the party here but just came across this, and as a content marketer myself at Atlassian, I +1 @LarryBrock's comment! Our content team uses Confluence to draft all of our content and provide feedback through inline comments and page comments. We use a table at the top of the page to…
-
Hi @Hung Do! I'm on the Confluence marketing team - nice to meet you! @Scott Theus has a great analogy and is correct. All of your Atlassian products can live on one instance, or site. You want to use the same instance across products so you can link them together and create a more seamless experience for your users! In…
-
Hi @Oscar Moran ! It is likely that you're experiencing the new Confluence editor in your instance, which doesn't have the project plan template available yet. It's coming in the next few weeks so hang tight, you'll have it soon! As a workaround, you can recreate it as a page or template in your instance until it is…

@[deleted] - we don't have a firm date but you should be able to expect in the coming months!
-
@Manon Soubies-Camy - I think it was mentioned awhile back so now we just hyperlink to that doc in those sections where it's applicable (see: "Meeting notes are getting a makeover" and "Blogs are getting the first round of editing improvements" on that page). Since it's a slow rollout, we're mentioning it when certain…
-
Hi @[deleted]! Not a bug! You're experiencing the rollout of our new editor in Confluence Cloud. Sections aren't currently available but they are coming soon! This doc outlines changes with the new editor and what you can expect to be coming in the near future. Hope that helps!
-
Hi @Martin! I really love @Sloan N_ B_'s response to this question. I also think it's important to understand the most prominent use cases of Confluence within your organization and find apps that can fill multiple use cases or are vital to carrying them out. You may also find that @Alana Fernando's add-on evaluation…
-
Hi @Engin Mahmut! This is a known issue with the new editor that's actively being addressed by our team and you should see a fix soon. Feel free to follow this ticket for updates!
-
For me it's over communication - especially for cross-functional projects! Whether that's digitally or verbally, I like to put allllll the info and details that are relevant or affect a work stream on a page. Then host a kick-off meeting to go over the plan with project team and let them poke holes where they think dates…
-
Hi @Fred B! I do love the project plan too :) If you're not seeing them in your space, then you're likely on Confluence Server or Data Center. These new templates aren't currently available in Server or Data Center, only in Cloud, but you can request them here: jira.atlassian.com !

Hi @Karen Hayden! These new ones aren't currently available in Confluence Server, but you can request them here: jira.atlassian.com !

Hi sarah@leadermes.com! You're welcome! And yes will have the team look into it :) Also, great suggestion @Meg Holbrook! :highfive:
