when i installed sourcetree and open it it constantly comes up with missing files

Question

I tried to redownload multiple times but every time it comes up with the following missing files

libiconv-2.dll

libiconv-8.dll

libpcre2-8-0.dll

libwinpthread-1.dll

this appears maybe 5-6 times on a loop of me pressing ok before they finally disappear

What you can also check… Are you sure that any Endpoint security client is not fishing out and deleting DLLs?

Many Endpoint Security solutions flag DLLs as false positives, especially in recent times, when most Endpoint clients have AI-driven threat management.

Hi @Jye Porter , Are you trying to install the latest Sourcetree version? And is it for Windows or Mac? Anyhow, can you try this 👇 * Navigate to: C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree.exe_\\. * Locate and delete the user.config file. * Relaunch Sourcetree; the application will regenerate a clean version of this file. Also, try re-downloading the installation file from official site: https://sourcetreeapp.com/download-archives Also, in some rare cases, a corrupted global .NET machine.config file prevents the app from starting. You can find this at C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Config\. Check for invalid paths or references to uninstalled software. 👀 There was also this bug but that was for older Windows versions: SRCTREEWIN-14522: Cannot install sourcetree 🤔 Cheers, Tobi
