Disconnect Google Account and Set Up a Separate Atlassian Password

Dear Atlassian Support Team,

I am currently using Trello Premium, and my Atlassian account is linked to my Google account.

I would like to be able to sign in independently of Google, using my email address and a separate Atlassian password.

However, I am currently unable to set up or change my Atlassian password.

Could you please explain how I can disconnect my Google account and set up an independent login without losing access to my existing Trello account, Premium subscription, or boards?

I would appreciate it if you could respond in German.

Unfortunately, I don't speak German, so I hope it's okay if I reply in English 🙂

I haven't tested this myself, so please proceed with caution.

You should be able to set up a separate Atlassian password without disconnecting your Google account first.

Go to https://id.atlassian.com/login and select Can't log in? (you can use incognito for this)
Enter the email address associated with your existing Atlassian account.
Follow the email instructions to set up a password.

👉 If you'd like to completely unlink Google, Atlassian currently doesn't offer a direct option to disconnect an individual linked account. According to their docs, changing your Atlassian account's email address will unlink connected third-party accounts. (e.g., Google)

Also, please note that this is a community support forum, primarily consisting of fellow users like myself, rather than an official Atlassian support channel.

As you're on Premium, best course of action would be to reach out to Atlassian Support directly 👈 They should definitelly be able to provide additional insights on this topic.

thank you for the fast response. It really work for me. (It seems for now). So, I was able to link the account to a new email adress with a password and unlink the Google account.
