How can I get myself removed from another organisation

I have an atlassian account that as well as my own organisation (which I want to keep) is also set as the administrator of another organisation. I'd like to leave that other organisation, but apparently you can't do that yourself, and the only way (assuming you're not in contact with the organisation's other admins) is to contact Atlassian support, but I can't do that apparently because I'm only on a Free plan. So what on earth am I supposed to do!?

You're right, another account would only shift the problem. Usually, another organization admin must remove your admin role, then remove your account from the organization.

I suggest reaching out to Atlassian Billing & Licensing Support and explaining situation.

You can submit a request even on Free. If you have trouble finding the form, check @Tomislav Tobijas guide.

You've read it right, Atlassian's own KB says you can't remove your own org admin role. But the same sentence gives the way out: "add another user as org admin and they can remove your privileges". Nothing says that other user can't be you.

So, in that other organisation:

Create a second Atlassian account on another email address.
In admin.atlassian.com, select that organisation, Directory > Administrators (or Directory > Users if it's the newer admin UI), and make the new account an org admin.
Log in as the new account, same page, and remove your main account from the admin role. Steps here.

Your main account is out, and the organisation still has an admin, so nobody is locked out. If the org is actually dead (no products, no other users), you can instead delete it, it's on all plans including Free, but it needs every site and subscription gone first and a waiting period, so the admin swap is faster.
