Throwback Thursday: What is a favorite commercial from the past? #TBT

Kristján Geir Mathiesen

It's Thursday!

Recently a great friend of mine told me about this commercial, which he vividly remembers from the past. He came across it on YouTube and it brought such delightful memories. It was pretty cool listening to him talk about it. He inspired this #TBT post.

Sooooo, what is favorite commercial (or just some fun ones) from the past?

Let’s make it a great Thursday!

Technically not a commercial but kinda is. My all time favourite is Bitconnect

I liked one ad for the cough medicine https://youtu.be/BdKubbeuzjs

Shows some nice Malaysian culture.

I remember McDonalds used to have good ads back in the 80s. Would always get me to go buy something from there:-

@Kristján Geir Mathiesen Great topic as usual!

But I'm sure the commercials that form the nostalgic backdrop of my childhood would not resonate with anyone who has not grown up in India of 1980s and 90s! I actually believe that commercials then had far more connect with the consumers and have instant recall value even now - becoming part of the collective memory and culture of the Indian subcontinent of those times!

Thanks again for the wonderful topic!
