Unable to click anything on 1 particular trello board

Alan Weiss

I have one board that had auto feeds of news coming in from Reddit & ESPN through IFTTT linking. Apparently, the volume of these articles was greater than I anticipated and now I am unable to do anything with this board. I wanted to clean it out and continue without the feeds. I keep getting a page unresponsive message asking to wait or kill the page. Waiting has not produced any results and killing the page has taken me back to square one every time with no solution. Can anyone help me figure out how to delete this board and start over, or clean out the sections that seem to be clogged with all the IFTTT feeds from Reddit and ESPN?

@Alan Weiss you would be able to do this via the API. Since you only want to do it once you can just use Trello's API testing to delete it. Go here:

https://developers.trello.com/v1.0/reference#boardsid-1

Click on the board and fetch the short ID of the board from the URL (it appears after /b/) and put that into the board id field. For example here is a board URL:

https://trello.com/b/qTCYep6l/iaindooley

the ID to copy is "qTCYep6l". Here it is in the board id field:

Now click the "Try it!" button to the top right of that section. It asks for an API key and a token. To get this, go here:

https://trello.com/app-key

Copy your API key into the "key" field, then from that app-key page click the link to manually generate a "Token".

Authorise "Server Token" to use your account then copy the token it gives you back into the "token" field on the API page. It should look something like this -- UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU SCREENSHOT OR SHARE YOUR API KEY WITH ANYONE!!!

Once you have added your key/token click "Try it" again, and this should delete your board.
