How can I download artifacts from failed builds?

I am using shared artifacts and then the task Download Artifact -- but it only downloads an artifact from the last successful build.

I need the artifact from the most recent build regardless of whether it passed or failed.

Hi @Benjamin Wilcox

That is not the way Bamboo was designed to work and this is why you will need to do some extra work in order to make it happen.

I would try this:

1. Remove the task download artifact
2. Add a script instead, with commands to perform these 2 steps:
   1. Find what is the last build from the plan you are trying to get the artifact from
      The information you need is returned in this REST API

      GET <Bamboo_URL>/rest/api/latest/result/<PLAN_KEY>

   2. Download the artifact using this REST API

      GET <Bamboo_URL>/browse/<PLAN_KEY>-<BUILD_NUMBER>/artifact/shared/<ARTIFACT_NAME>/<ARTIFACT_FILE>

I would rather prefer fixing the build and rerunning the same one to make sure the artifacts will be exactly the same and the build is now passing.
