Bamboo Admin Access Issues

I do not see any admin login in the bamboo installation. I tried to follow the lock_out procedure but it still did not resolve my issue. 

 

I have crowd from where the users are assigned different roles and there is an admin account that can login to other tools such as bitbucket, confluence and jira but no gear icon and when I click contact administrator, I get a message no administrator found.

Hi Rajeev,

The document Lockout recovery process is the one used for Bamboo 6.6+

For older versions the process is different. There is no property to give you the admin permissions back. The process may involve fixing the DB, changing the user repository configuration or changing the remote user repository data.

These are the options I see for you, assuming you are running a Bamboo version prior to 6.6.x

1. Disable Crowd for your instance and login as an administrator to configure your user repository again OR
2. Adjust Crowd so your user is member of a group configured to have admins permissions in Bamboo
3. Adjust the Bamboo DB to give the permissions to users/groups you need.

The easiest option in my opinion is to configure Bamboo for a local user repository and then reconfigure it to use crowd.
