Why "Log Selected..." not works with files in folders with special characters?

Question

If I click "Log Selected..." on a file that is contained in a folder named "[SomeFolderName]", then I get this message:

On files outside this folder I can use the feature just fine. Also, when I use the git log command directly, it also just works fine. This seems a Sourcetree only issue.

Can I disable this security check thingy somehow?

Thanks for getting back. Indeed, it was the "[" character in the folder name, that prevented us to lookup logs for any file within. We ended up renaming the folder.

(anyway, actually the files in their new location have lost links to their original counterparts, so we still can't lookup logs)

Hi Borbás,

The full URL for that file path potentially contains one or more incompatible characters per this Git documentation. We actively guard against to prevent possible exploits and don't provide an option to override it. I will pass that feedback along to the Security folks to see what they think though.
