Connectivity Issue between Bamboo and CVS (UNIX Box)

Hi Team,

I'm trying to connect Bamboo with CVS Repository, but getting errors. Please see the below steps what I did (I'm giving my problem details in general way),

1. My Repository name cvs_repo, user name abc and server name cvs_dev01.

2. In Bamboo, I selected CVS Repository and gave following credentials by using pserver protocal. I framed my syntax like this

:pserver:abc@cvs_dev01:2401/expot/home/dev/

here /export/home/dev is my repository path.

3. After I entered password or SSH key (both ways are tried) and saved. In this case I'm getting below error

Cannot connect to CVS root: Cannot connect to host cvs_dev01.

Please help to me to resolve this issue. I mean how to establish connection between Bamboo to CVS Repository (this repository present in UNIX Box only).

Verify that your CVS is really listening to TCP port 2401 (by using netstat or try connecting to it using netcat).

If the connectivity is ok (you can establish TCP connections) then try the syntax:

:pserver:abc@cvs_dev01:/expot/home/dev/

or otherwise resolve the connectivity problems first.

Also is the path corect or is there a typo in /expot/home/dev/ and it should be /export/home/dev/ ?

It may be useful to first run cvs commands against the repository from the console and once they succeed then try configuring Bamboo with the same parameters.
