What is your 'elevator pitch' for Atlassian?

Kat Warner

When I am asked what my job is I usually start by asking "Have you heard of Confluence, Jira, or Atlassian?".

If the person answers 'yes' then it is easy to describe my job working for an Atlassian Solution Partner.

I learnt at a recent conference that if the person answers 'no' then I am missing a decent elevator pitch where I can describe the tools I love working with using only a couple of sentences.

Do you have an elevator pitch for your job, the organisation you work for, and/or Atlassian?

My job? Certainly. "You know those booklets that you get in the box with your new electronics stuff? The ones you usually put in the trash or in some folder never to be seen again? I write those."

Just kidding... It's usually much harder to explain what a variant configurator does (no, I won't pitch it here...). Lucky me, I don't have to explain how I'm using Confluence to write documentation. I can imagine me saying: "You know Wikipedia, right? It's just like that, only completely different."
