I've read that Trello has a preset card ratio when uploading images and whatever size you scale it down (or up to) it will fill the bandwidth to fill the card... is there a way to adjust this to get the image smaller in size so it's not fitting the cards automatic size bandwidth?

That's not possible at the moment I'm afraid. You could create the image with a gray background in case you wanted it to display smaller. SAME QUESTION - to make TRELLO IMAGES smaller - they take up TOO much of the CARD space
With SMALLER IMAGES - you could see more people - they need to be about 1/3 or 1/4 the current size
