Installation fails : Something went wrong while attempting to validate your credentials.

Question

I have been looking for a solution on the community sites for a while to this issue.

I have tried installing versions from 1.9 on ward. Nothing works.

None of the solutions seem to work.

Please provide a guide as to what to do.

Windows Server 2016.

It already helped me, less than seven hours later!

In IE 10 on Windows 7, the URL had to be https://*.atlassian.com.

Successfully resolved this issue on Windows Server 2012 R2.

* Added *.atlassian.com to Trusted sites (Internet Properties > Security > Trusted sites > Sites)
* Edited the security settings (Custom Level) for Trusted sites to:

* Enable Access data sources across domains (under Miscellaneous)
* Enable Allow META REFRESH (under Miscellaneous)
* Enable Active scripting (under Scripting)

I'm glad Atlassian folks are reading and repsonding to these.

I was finally able to get working again by completing the installation with a Google account, and then adding the Atlassian account from [Options] once I could get the shell loaded.

Our network folks removed me from the group policy and then I was able to log into the website id.atlassian.com from within IE (which I couldn't before), but I was still unable to complete the installer with an Atlassian login. Please fix this, it's a huge hassle for our team.
