Is Fisheye/Crucible install the same

Question

I am confused about the fisheye/crucible install.  The zip files for both are essentially the same.  Most documentation do not refer to installing these seperately but one document suggested that you add in your fisheye license and your crucible license seperately.

Are these products the same tomcat site? When setting up one, does that setup both?

If you're going to get both, then you are better installing Crucible evaluation as it contains FishEye.  It's easy to go from Crucible -> FishEye & Crucible by just updating the licence.  Going from FishEye -> FishEye & Crucible is a little more complex

If you have a Crucible evaulation licence from http://my.atlassian.com then you already have FishEye enabled.

To quote Atlassian: "During evaluation, only a Crucible license is needed. Once you install a commercial Crucible license, a commercial FishEye license will be required."

What if we have the official comercial version coming and I want to have both running.   Do I install the fisheye license now to make everything work?  Both fisheye and crucible.

If you're talking about the demo you download, then yes it's the same file.  When you install one you install the other. The only difference is the licence you put in.  If you have a Crucible licence, the FishEye part is disabled.  It's a quite different build to Jira/Confluence but it's still the same basic toolset underneath.  The licence for both just goes in the same web form
