Injected variables in deployment release name

Question

During compilation of my application a properties file is generated that contains a release name. I have been able to define this file as an artifact and then use the variables defined in it in another build plan using the "Inject Bamboo Variables" task.

I wish to use one of the injected variables as the release name in a deployment, how do I do this?

The solution is to change the scope of the variables from 'Local' to 'Result' on the "Inject Bamboo variables" task for the build plan.
