How can you tell when Trello is disconnected from the net?

If you are online using Trello, generating cards and lose connection I could see no way of being notified that cards will not be saved.  Is it possible that the data could be cached to be uploaded when the network is reconnected, or for the data be available to recover manually?

I did not know Trello allowed you to continue editing a card when there was no network. Luckily we didn't lose a lot of info.

Hi Ian,

 

Changes you make in Trello are temporarily cached in your browser in case of network connectivity problems, but not permanently. This means that if you temporarily drop WiFi, for example, Trello will attempt to reconnect, and if it does, Trello will attempt to still save those changes. If the reconnection times out, however, and Trello is fully offline, those changes cannot be saved, and you need to refresh the Trello window. This is a technical limitation at the moment.

 

When Trello first sees network trouble, you'll see a red box like this one: 

This red box is a warning that the network connection is unstable, and changes may not successfully save. If the problem persists, the red box display will change to say that you've been disconnected from the server for too long, and need to refresh Trello.
