Cannot login while installing SourceTree (VM)

Question

Hi,

I cannot sign in while installing SourceTree on my VM. Once I enter credentials it just keeps spinning and never logs in. I can use this same account to login to Atlassian pages directly so I think it's not an account issue.

Could it be because I am running a VM?

Hi! Are you on Windows? This issue has been related to Security levels in IE in the past. Can you try the following:

* Turn off compatibility mode in IE. To do that, open Internet Explorer, go to the Advanced options tab and click on Reset your Internet Explorer Settings
* Check Delete personal settings
* Change your Internet Explorer Security Zone Settings:

* Open IE, click on the gear
* Select "Internet Options"
* Select the "Security" tab
* Select "Custom Level" for Internet
* Find "Access data sources across domains" and select "Enable" (make note of what the setting currently is)
* Try logging into Sourcetree again

After logging in, follow steps 1-5, but reset the setting back to the previous option.

Let us know if you can log in now! If it doesn't, tell us which Sourcetree and OS version are you using.
