How to save unpushed commits in a flash drive

Hello Guys!

I'm working in a C++ game and i'm using SourceTree to save my codes. I have 43 commits unpushed because of their size and I need to format my PC. I have an external hard drive and I want to save all these unpushed commits in this HD to I don't lose them. How do I do that?

EDIT: The files that are bigger than 100MB (biggest size accepted in GitHub) had already been deleted, but in one of the 43 commits, it was created. How do i delete this file from the commits?

Copying the whole of your repository folder, including the .git subfolder, will take a ll of you local state onto the external harddrive.

To remove old commits containing large files you can try the BFG https://rtyley.github.io/bfg-repo-cleaner/
