Time Spent Column

In looking at total time spent in reivew on by the author and reviewers, my developers tell me that they didn't spend as much time as crucible is showing. They say they may have opened the review in a new browser tab, started to work it then get pulled off onto something else. They do Not close the tab, come back sometime later to finish addressing/or inserting review comments.

How is the time spent calculated by Crucible?

Time tracking timer starts when any of the following happens:

the review page is loaded or
the window gets a focus or
any mouse click or key press happens on the page

Time tracking timer stops when any of the following happens:

the window looses a focus or
after 5 minutes of inactivity on a page

Thank you for the information, one question. In both cases, it is after the final event in the series? In other words,

Timer start is when: page loaded, focus happens and a click, Then the timer starts? (all 3 events occur in sequence)

Timer stops: Focus is lost and 5 minutes expires?

I updated my answer. It happens after any of the events, they don't have to be in a sequence.
