In Bamboo , How to run script task in x86 or x64 bit mode?

Question

Script task is running cmd or powershell. But i want to run x86 powershell instead of x64 bit. Is there a provision there to run script in desired bit?

As a workaround , If i run command task with providing powershell 32 bit path the script is being executed but the problem is even if build fails it says succeeded.

As per command task the script is invoked and it consider it as success.

And once you get past the basics, you may run into a variety of other complications - for example, Windows programs that send error output to stdout by default instead of stderr (we've run into this with sqlcmd and msbuild).  See this thread for some related comments.

You are correct that running the script task in x86 mode will require using the direct path to the x86 version in an x64 environment.

Regarding the build being marked as a success; Bamboo will only consider non-zero exit code successful. To have a build considered a failure, simply have the script exist with a non-zero value.
