Only your 5th question isn't answered there. I'd also point out that you can run it on non-supported platforms - anything that runs a JVM for the application and any database with JDBC support can be made to run Atlassian apps, but the further you wander from their officially supported platforms, the more likely you are to run into problems that no-one else has hit.

I ran Crucible for almost a year on AIX 6.1, and then encountered a bug where the logs would grow very rapidly, fill the disk, and stop the server. The bug is intermittent, and I couldn't identify a cause.

Atlassian support couldn't help because it's not a supported environment. I am migrating it to a different system because of this bug.

That's not correct -- Fisheye and Crucible have to support it, too.

No, you're wrong, but I think you've misunderstood me.

You do NOT need Fisheye and Crucible to "support" a database in order to get them to work with it. My experience which lead me to say "any database with JDBC support" was specifically for running Fisheye on a non-supported database and it worked back then and is still working fine now. You won't be supported, but that does not stop it working.
