Why are my plan variables not replaced ?

I have defined a variable NEW_VERSION_MAJOR in a plan. In one of the tasks, a command, I use the variable in the Arguments field like this : {bamboo.NEW_VERSION_MAJOR}

However, the variable is not substituted with the value I pass when launching a parameterized run.

Am I doing something obviously wrong ?

I'm not sure if this was just a copy/paste error, but you need a $ in front of your variable when you use it.

e.g. ${bamboo.NEW_VERSION_MAJOR}
