If you apply full color to cards on a Trello board, is there a way to have the cards appear in color on the calendar view? We have multiple projects that we would like to see on the calendar and be able to distinguish between them by color.
Hi @Michele Conklin 👋🏻
First of all, welcome to community! ✨
Unfortunately Trello's built-in calendar view does not display full-color card covers or custom card background colors. But here are few things you could try:
I hope this helps & resolves your issue. 🙂
Thanks, Anwesha
Hi @Michele Conklin,
Atlassian has an open suggestion for this, TRELLO-783 "Show card covers in Calendar View" (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-783), and its description says that card covers aren't shown in the Calendar today. For keeping several projects apart on one calendar, I'd look at the Workspace Calendar view on Premium or Enterprise (https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/workspace-calendar-view/), which shows the start and due dates from cards on up to 20 boards in the same Workspace and lets you filter by labels, lists and members. If each project has its own board or its own label, I'd use that filter to look at one project at a time. Without Premium, a board admin can turn on the iCalendar feed in the Calendar Power-Up (https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/using-the-calendar-power-up/), and that doc suggests adding each board's feed to one external calendar to see them together. Most external calendars let you pick a colour per feed, so each project can get its own colour, though only due dates come through the feed, not start dates.
I'd add your vote on TRELLO-783, too.
