Loom will not let me get off the Default mode. I am paying for Business and cannot use Loom to share material on another screen. It is useless

Hi @tjacobson425,

This error means, as I understand it, your OS is blocking Loom from capturing the screen, so Loom falls back to a limited mode. It is not related to your Business plan. 😎

On a Mac, I would reset the permission fully:

1. Quit Loom from the menu bar.
2. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen & System Audio Recording.
3. Remove Loom with the minus button. Toggling it off and on often does not help.
4. Restart your Mac, open Loom, and accept all permission prompts.

If you use the Chrome extension, I would also allow Google Chrome in that same list.

On Windows, I would check Settings > Privacy & security for camera and microphone access, then reinstall the latest Loom desktop app.

If it still fails, could you share your OS version and whether you use the desktop app or the extension?
