JPD feature request: Rovo write access, CSV import and public API for Insights

Hi JPD team and community,

At MedAdvisor, Jira Product Discovery is our single source for product discovery. We link ideas to delivery work and score them on evidence. The Insights tab drives our prioritisation, but getting evidence into it is still almost entirely manual.

Three requests:

* Rovo write access to Insights. Rovo can read and comment on ideas, but it can't create, edit or attach insights. We'd like it to turn feedback from Confluence research, Jira or support tickets, meeting notes and Dovetail into insights on the right idea, with the user confirming each one.
* Bulk insight import (CSV). Import insights onto existing ideas with idea key, summary, source URL, customer or organisation, and date. For example, tagged highlights exported from Dovetail.
* A supported public API for insights. Our research tools and internal bots could then push evidence straight into JPD. I've seen the polaris-forge reference example. Is a supported, documented API on the roadmap?

Why it matters: our feedback comes from pharmacy groups, head office and store users, sales (HubSpot/Zoho), Teams and Dovetail. The Teams app and Chrome extension only handle one item at a time. As a result, most evidence never becomes an insight, so it doesn't count toward impact scoring.

Questions:

* Are any of these on the JPD roadmap?
* Has anyone found a good workaround for bulk-adding insights?

Hello!

I've implemented a bunch of work arounds. I don't actually recommend clients use the out of the box insights if they want to store information about the insights in addition to the available data points and want to roll up that data on the idea.

What we've done is have a JSM space with a "feedback" ticket type where external customers, internal customers, and add ons can create tickets with a form, so we know the customer, urgency/impact of the new feature/feedback, etc. Once it is linked to the idea, I have automation roll up the customer data on the idea like the customer's revenue or industries.

This way product managers can prioritize based on real customer data from insights. OOTB insights will give you a number but that doesn't take into consideration the customer, it's size, revenue, importance to business (if at risk), etc.

You can now create and explore JPD Insights using Rovo Dev or Claude through the experimental Insights API. Take a look at his guide:

It's not yet a supported public API, but may help automate feedback imports.

There are a couple of AI items on the roadmap but no bulk insights import or API.  You can look it over and see if there is something that I missed that matches what you are after.
