Reporting from Asset Schema

Hi

Is it possible to report from the Asset Schema where we can see linked work items

that provides the following information

Ie. where we want to see all the incidents that relate to a Location and for it to identify the Internet type they are on and potentially other fields within the schema.

Ie the report would show

Inc Number x

Date raised x

Store Number x

Incident Category Network Connectivity

Asset LAN

The following fields from the Asset Schema type ie Internet Type, etc..

Hi. Not as one native report with the asset's attributes as columns, but you can get close in two steps:

1. Finding the incidents. JQL can filter on the asset's attributes with aqlFunction(), e.g.
   "Location" in aqlFunction("objectType = Store AND "Internet Type" = "Fibre"")
   (swap in your field, object type and attribute names). Dot notation follows references too, e.g. Store.Region = "North".
   
2. Getting the attributes as columns. The work item list shows the object itself, not its attributes, so Internet Type won't appear as a column on its own. What we usually do: a small Automation rule (when the work item is created, or when the Assets field changes) that copies the attribute into a plain text field, e.g. Internet Type ← {{issue.Location.Internet Type}}. From then on it's a normal column you can filter, export to CSV and use in dashboards.

If you're on Premium or Enterprise with Atlassian Analytics, you can also join the Assets and Jira data sources and build exactly that table there.
