Welcome Wednesday: What are your favorite conferences, and why?

Dave LIAO

👋 Good morning Atlassian Community! Or good afternoon, or good evening, or whatever, depending on where you are in the universe.

I'm still recovering from Atlassian Team Europe, and going through my notes from it. That got me thinking - what other conferences are worth checking out? Many of us have been to at least one conference - for those who have been to many, what are your favorite conferences, and why?

Share in the comments! Hopefully you're more excited about conferences than this cat:

💡 This has been another Welcome Wednesday, an opportunity for you to participate on the forums. (Curious? See past Welcome Wednesdays)

I have to say… it's hard to beat TEAM. The people, the vibe, the official receptions & parties, all the side events..

All other conferences I've been to felt quite stiff.

Of course, my first team in Amsterdam. Very rewarding, a lot of networking, and lovely people.

I'd check out a DevOpsDays event near you if you can! Not as glamorous as Summit/Team/etc. but more grassroots.

I find Salesforce (I know, I know) events to be pretty nuts when I'm able to attend.

And SUCH a crowd, right? The Atlassian Community is one of the strongest online communities that I know of, and I'm not just saying that because I'm literally posting on it right now. 🤣

My answer, formally:

DevOpsDays - depending on the city chapter, you're in for a good time
Salesforce - tends to throw big events
PAX Unplugged - it's a conference on board games, what's not to like?

Shirley Jones

My favourite is NZGDC - the New Zealand Game Dev conference, it's always a lot of fun. I love meeting all the new attendees and catching up with dev teams I know (plus talking voice work is always fun).
