I always want more space on a board.
Is there a way to delete the box at the bottom of my DoIt list
that says "Inbox Planner Board Switch Boards"? and gain that space for cards?

Unfortunately, there's currently no setting to hide that bottom navigation bar.
Atlassian is tracking a related feature here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-1303
in case you're using Trello in a browser, extensions like Stylus can hide it with custom CSS, but that's an unofficial workaround.
You're definitely not the only one asking for this! ๐
