The issue has not resurfaced since the original incident, and we haven't encountered any further occurrences. Closing this ticket as resolved.

I believe the issue is with the Trello connector or its service, not your request volume.
Trello's API limits are applied per token and key, so a shared limit could be the cause.

Please try creating the card directly in Trello. If that works, report the issue to Trello Support with the GraphQL error and timestamp. The error code will help identify if it's an API limit or a connector issue.

I've been using the Trello integration through ChatGPT myself (a couple of calls per day) without any issues so far.

I'm not sure whether the standard Trello API rate limits apply here or if there are additional thresholds.

If it still appears to be an issue, you could reach out to Trello Support to investigate. If you're on the Free plan, you could consider starting a 14-day Premium trial to access support, then switch back to Free afterward.

Hi @Daniel Razavi, three calls are nowhere near Trello's documented limits, so I agree with @Arkadiusz Wroblewski that this looks like the connector or service, not your usage. "UNDERLYING_SERVICE" suggests the 429 is coming from Trello's side, behind the MCP gateway.
A couple of things worth trying: in ChatGPT, refresh the Trello app under Connector Settings, then fully disconnect and reconnect, making sure Write is ticked on the consent screen (Trello MCP guide). If you can, try creating a card from another MCP client too. That tells you whether it's ChatGPT-specific.
If it still fails, Trello Support will want the exact timestamp and the full error text.

I disconnected the plugin and reconnected it, and so far so good. I tried recreating the issue, but it hasn’t happened again. Hopefully it stays that way!

Nothing actionable for now. I’ll close this in 7 days if the issue doesn’t come back.
