unable to add my org for trello

Question

Its been a few weeks i've been trying to setup trello for my org.

I've already added the DNS entries per the documentation

However, I still get an automated reply from your bot every day that says

"We're not yet able to confirm that your DNS records match those in your domain provider. When we do, we can verify your email domain (******.﻿in).

To review the status of your records, go to your list of email domains and select See DNS records. If you don't need to resolve any issues, it may be that your domain provider hasn't yet recognized the changes."

A speedy solution will be appreciated

Hi Hari,

Those emails come from the email domain setup under Organization settings > Emails > Email domains, the one Arek mentioned, and it's a separate feature from the domain verification you'd use to manage Trello accounts. Atlassian checks the DNS records for that email domain every 24 hours, and while one or more of them doesn't match, all org admins get that email; they stop once all the records match.

I'd open See DNS records there, where you'll see 5 or 6 records, and compare each value with what your provider publishes, using dig or an online DNS lookup. The values have to be exact. GoDaddy and some other providers add your domain to the CNAME name on their own, so it ends up in the name twice and you need to enter the name without the domain part. If you already had an SPF record, merge the two into one. Run DNS records check then starts a check right away, though it can take up to 72 hours to verify.

If you only wanted Trello accounts managed and don't plan to send Jira or Confluence notifications from your domain, that's Directory > Domains instead, which you can verify with a TXT record, an HTML file on your site, or through Google Workspace or Entra. You could then remove the email domain; I'd expect that to stop the emails, though I haven't seen the docs say so.

This email is about verifying a domain for custom email notifications, not managing Trello users.

To manage your company’s Trello accounts, go to Atlassian Administration → Directory → Domains to verify your domain.

If you're configuring email notifications, check Organization Settings → Emails → Email Domains for DNS records and run a DNS check to identify mismatches.

Could you clarify if you need to manage Trello users, link Trello Enterprise, or configure email notifications?
