Throwback Thursday: What did you want to be when you grew up? #TBT

Four years ago, I did a post about this but I recently came across some photos so I really want to do another post about this. However, no I did not want to be a sailor or fisherman, despite of these photo. I wanted to be an inventor.

Oh, that’s a good one! I’m not sure anymore, but I remember my grandparents telling the story of how I used to feed the half-blind chicken at their place and wanted to be a farmer and a fisher. I guess I’m doing something like that now, right? I’m farming wikis and knowledge bases, and fishing for solutions to incidents and requirements. 😅

I didn't want to have any particular job as a kid. I went through a phase (10-11yo) where I told adults who asked me about it that I wanted to be a nuclear physicist just because that curtailed their follow up questions.

As a kid, I always wanted to be an artist or something creative. I think if I had known about graphic design at the time, I would have gravitated towards something like that. Unfortunately, I am low on creative art genes so it is probably best that I'm in a career where my livelihood isn't dependent on my painting or drawing skills. ✏️

As a kid, I actually wanted to work as a fairground ride operator! 🎡🎢

I just loved the combination of all those machines, flashing lights, and loud music. 😁 The only part I wasn't too excited about was constantly traveling from town to town across the country, as those fairs usually do.

But yeah, that was definitely my dream job back then. And who knows, maybe it still is! 😂
