Power-Up card button in card menu - are there any changes planned?

There was a similar post when the beta version was released, but it didn't get much of a response.

Since the new layout was introduced, the tab buttons have been hidden in the menu. This is quite inconvenient. The whole point of creating these buttons was to allow users to quickly and easily perform an action.

Are there any plans to change this? It would be great if we could pin a button to the bar next to the “Comments” button, just like in the example.

Hi @Łukasz Cieciorowski, thanks for the screenshot. Unfortunately there's no way to pin Power-Up buttons next to Comments right now, and Atlassian hasn't announced plans for it. Moving them into that menu was a deliberate part of the new card back.

The closest open request is TRELLO-1398 (pin your most-used Power-Ups). It only has a handful of votes, so yours would count.

If it's your own Power-Up, one workaround is a card-detail badge. Those sit at the top of the card back and can run a callback, so users still get one-click access without opening the menu.

As far as I'm aware, there haven't been any announcements about bringing back the option to display individual Power-Up buttons directly on the card toolbar (if we're talking about that? 🤔).

There is, however, a similar feature request (TRELLO-1286) concerning Automation buttons, which are also hidden behind an additional menu in the new layout.

Hopefully, we'll see some improvements here, as having quick access to frequently used buttons certainly makes sense! 🙂
